Aid earring quest

For those of you that have done this part of the quest and weren't above 227 in smithing, how did you do this?

If you were successful in doing the cleaning, did you do the combine with the hurricane temper and then go back and do more skilling up to 227?

I am looking at the numbers and it seems possible to get up to 231 doing the cleaning and coating parts of the quest.

I picked up a couple stacks of stormrider blood fairly cheap and have been watching for the powdered sandstorm pearls and the drops of pure rain, but wasn't sure if this was a good method for trying to squeeze the most out of the quest or not.

Dunno about your server, but drops of pure rain went for 2 to 5k plat apiece on Vazaelle last time I looked. There's gotta be a cheaper way to skillup.

Nods, I realize there is a big difference between servers on prices.

Last night, there were 2 drops of pure rain being sold for 1k each.

This morning, prior to work, I logged on to check some prices and bought 5 for 200 each.

there is no way i could bring myself to try and squeeze out 4 skillups from 227 to 331 on that temper the resell on plate and chain items is soooo much > than the combine on that bp.

Besides at 227 your almost as well of doing sickles or back to shadowscream for 20ish more points

I would say either the seller didnt know what he was doing..... or he ment to price them 2000 and missed off a zero.

If i were you, do your one combine and either sell or save them for some combines to sell.

DO NOT waste them on 5 combines that are most probably going to gain you ZERO skillups.
