  • Calling dwarven smiths......

Just a few questions or thoughts.

I am currently at 245 Skill + Geerlock and am finally starting to make some money at Smithing.

Anyhow, being what may, there seems to be a nice selection of cultural armors we can make. I'm curious as to what/how most of you market your skills.

So far I usually have 6-7 pieces of Underfoot Plate available and only 1-2 Mischievous Plate made at any point, and then just sell them in the Bazaar.

I know there are quite a few 250 dwarven smiths on my server (Quellious) and so it's a bit difficult to sell.

Is there a better way to market my skills? Should I switch to something different (LDoN armors?).

Does anything in the dwarven cultural chain line sell?

Would it be better to make a full suit of each armor (Brellium Plate, Brellium Chain, Underfoot Plate, Underfoot Chain, Mischievous Plate, and Mischievous Chain) and just replenish stock when each sells?

I think it's been said a few times in the past, but since you asked...

The best way to make money on cultural armor, that I've found, is custom orders. Deliver it to the folks who are interested, and get your name out there as one of "the guys who makes Underfoot armor." Selling in the bazaar can take a week or two of armor sitting on a trader mule, and doesn't really lead to the amount of "referral business" that you can get from doing custom orders.

I made armour primarily for myself.
I made up my newbie quest stuff, then used banded to fill the gaps, then moved up to fine plate.

Once I got some cash together I started on the imbued dwarven chain, and I've now managed to churn out a full set of enchanted plate. As i've upgraded each bit in turn, i've sold some of to friends (fellow Brell worshipping Dwarves of course) and only the very occasional bit in the bazaar.
I think the next step for me is acrylia, but the driving goal is to actually make a decent set of underfoot plate for myself

Another way to Make money with any trade skill is to make the annoying sub combines. The Tempers, Folded sheets, Infused folded sheets etc.

Just my Opinion but based on information from my guild and friends. Most of them will make the PoP tempers and put them up for sale for slightly more than the componants cost. Hurricane is an example Average price of Drops of Pure rain 1200PP, Storm Rider blood 500pp, Sand storm pearls about 200per... Total Cost to BUY the temper from one of my friends is 2500 to 3000pp.
