What suggestions to work on next?
Please note that I am on an old account, returning Trilogy Player. Means no Luclin, PoP, LoY, or LDoN.

Right now I'm collecting parts for Fiery Weapons, but this is not going well. Would like any and all alternatives.

What would be nice is if I could pull up all the combines in a single list (instead of divided into many sections) to list by trvials. I am sifting thru them now typing up post 115th ones in order. then look up wher and what has.

If someone could save me the effort of running around blind?

I do not have access to Luclin or later. On Tribunal, my old server, trying to find someone willing for celestial parts for needles.

Should I skip that and do Ornate Chain? I see silver combos are in the 120-130's.

Ok, major suggestion: buy Luclin, and then PoP in that order.
PoP is wonderful in the sense that you'll never need a porter again (well, thats an exagration but its not far from the truth).

However, for any trade skiller the bazaar is the hands down most valuable thing in the game (even better than LoY's doubled bank space). Being able to buy almost everything in the game in one zone is just too good to ignore.

However, if your going to stick with old world only...start on Ornate Chain. You only have to farm plat for that. After you get towards the top of ornate chain go to fine steel plate until you hit 188. Then follow the quest combine for enchanted velium hinges (2 peices of velium, enchant velium scroll, coldain velium temper if memory serves me correctly. I could be wrong). Also any "old" cultural combines you happen to be able to do if its a reasonable option.

After 222...guess the only old world available combine would be the "new" cultural armors.

My suggestions. Of course I agree with Lord Grimrose, do some digging on your onw instead of picking our brains. You might stumble on something we've forgotten about.
Tailoring, why did I ever start tailoring? *sob*

But I like brains! Thanks for help.
I'm sure to stumble over something here or there.
I'll try to fill in any needed information as I can going along too.

I think you can still do the combines for LDON smithing, you just need to buy the bits to make tempers, or the tempers. I find LDON temper bits on vendors near the LDON camps all the time. You can also complete your Adventure Stone Task and STILL port from camp to camp, even if you never buy LDON to make farming the vendor alot simpiler. Then find a person willing to purchase Superb Padding for you in POK and deliver them. AFAIK, you can still hit combine and make the items, just like you can wear and equip items from expansions you do not own.

Of course this will be pretty rough without access to Bazaar, but still doable.

Edit: Would also add you can do Ringmail versions that do NOT require the padding. They trivial in the high 160's, plate trivials near 218ish. So the ringmail versions can be all purchased within you scope of travel with your current expansions.

              Tinc,

Without Luclin or any of the later expations your options are very limited to what you can make, also the items that you have ready access to make a a bit more expensive than the newer ones.

At the least you should look into the LDoN... The Chain and plate items you can make from there will take you to 220.

LDoN plate goes to 212, not 220.

I will probably suffer thru some of it before I am able to get anything newer for now. Besides, too much new stuff anyways. I have a ton of things to memorize. Not just trade skills. New mobs, new drops, new crafts - all crafts, phfft. I still remember evrything from old days (amazing). Used to be a guru. Have a lot to add.

Thanks for all your help. Especially what I can do for now till I get new expansions.
