Hey, Zera. I'm one of the peple who gave you feedback on your original smithing guide. You have my name as Fercone. it's Feroce. It's a musical term meaning fierce or fiercely. Don't know what Fercone is, but it sounds delicious.

Also, I was wondering if you had considered doing a supplement to smithing on the Firiona Vie server. Pretty much nothing is no-drop there, so the game changes significantly for us smiths.

I LOVE your guide, it was great in its initial testing form, and has been much improved. Kudos to you!

that would make ss armor even easier then wouldn't it? what else do you do for smithing that is no drop?

Shadowscream is kinda tough, actually. The Trivial Loot Code prevents you from farming greens with impunity, since magic and lore items will poof if the mob that drops them is green to you.

Royal Velium armor is VERY profitable to make on FV. Velium isn't magic, so it can be farmed easily, and Velium Hounds never green out.

Stamped arrowheads are a viable way to skill up to 188 for everyone on FV, but no-one knows about or uses this. I wish I had known about it.

Oh yeah, and the Aid Grimel smithing bit... just get help, and this can go fast. One person flagged keepse giving the line to get the dirty BP, and passes it off to people, who deliver them down to the smith, who cleanses it.

My experiences on Firiona Vie are limited to a single level 20 bard I probably haven't touched in a month and a half. So I can't say I am any expert on non-nodrop smithing.

I can add some notes that might make sense for FV people, but I don't think I would make a server-only guide.

BTW, I am plotting Edition 6 now. I'm just waiting to see what tomorrow's patch brings (i.e. will they bring the CVT guy back so it will be vendor sold again?)

I'd be happy to help you throw together notes on smithing on Firiona Vie. Incidentally, you should hop back on your FV bard and look me and my guild. We're Molto Espressivo, the all-bard guild. Great bunch of people. We help each other out, group together, and try some nifty stunts from time to time.

They've also been instrumental in helping me get my skill up. I make suits of LDoN armors for them, they help me gather temper components and velium, it's a beautiful thing.

Oh, and I'd personally prefer for them not to have CVT's on a vendor... I'd rather have it be something that brewers can profit from.
