Enchanted Velium they way go then?

OK this is my first post but I have just a few questions. My current smithing is at 179, Im making Coldain tempers should have about 350 when i get done. How far along should 350 combines get me? Close enough to start BP cleansing? I started doing SS but read on this site that velium would be better. Any suggestions would be cool. Thx

I averaged 20 combines per skillup on the Enchanted Velium stuff.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but 350 combines, starting at 179 probably won't even get you to 200, let alone 220 for BP Cleansing.

Figure 20 attempts per point, that would give you 17.5 skill ups...

Now, consider that you are about to enter the HELL level of all trade skills. IE 190-220 or so.

Hate to say it, but I doubt you'll even get to 200, though it is of course, possible. Some people get very lucky, and others get stomped on, like me. Took me 327 combines to get from 201 to 202...
