Shears Mold?

Where does one find a shears mold? I'd like to make a shear just to see what the dang thing is!

Shear molds are around 78pp per to me with indiff faction and 116 cha

Yeah, I was like, ok, this won't seem to bad. Then I saw those shears molds and I'm like WTF? Are they really that rare? Well, making the shears, they're worth only 71 and half at best when selling them. You'd think that like most merchants, they'd pay more for good, worked material that they don't have to worry about screwing up like we do. =|

So are they a drop only item then? or sold on some merchant?

Shears mold

No, the molds are sold by the gnome with the last name Geerlok in the lighthouse.

I paid 72pp for the molds with 126 CHA and indifferent faction. Sold the finished pieces for 71pp. The elm and hickory staves, fortunately, were only a plat or two apiece. I was sort of hoping they might not be trivial to me at 190 but no such luck.

Viable skillup path?

Sounds like shears could become a viable skillup path, or at least an alternative to ornate chain. Perhaps once we get the trivials nailed down we'll know for sure. Good thing they are only a couple platinum loss per success, eh?
