  • Quickest way 200 to 220 w/o farming (buying stuff in bazaar)

What would you guys say is the quickest way to get to 220 from 200? Only +% mod I have is Geerlok (5), so I can't do EE's until 212 or 213 or whatever it is.

I'm currently buying out all the LDoN drops in bazaar if they are 250pp or less and skilling up via those.

I am willing to spend 100kpp to get from 200 to 220, so with that in mind what route should I take? Thanks

Oh PS: I can't tell if that enchanted velium thing is still in game.. is it? If so where do I buy the components? IE which NPCs and which are from bazaar

Yes enchanted velium bits are still in game. By typing that in the search engine of www.eqtraders.com, you can see the recipe, plus how you can get the ingredients.

      Oh, and to clarify:

Ethereal metal rings and sheets trivial at 212. The combine requires a minimum modified skill of 220.

With a 5% item, you can go 210 to 212.

With a 10% item, you can go 200 to 212.

With a 15% item, you can go 192 to 212.

Actually, hehe, when I search for enchanted velium bits it does not find anything, that is why I was asking =\ I just tried again and it did not find anything... anyone wanna help me out?

Its 2 small pieces of velium
        CVT
        Spell: Enchant: Velium

Which of those are NPC bought and which NPC, and which are bazaar bought/farmed?

        Thanks

K well I figured out where everything was and what not.. working on the sub combines now. Would you all say bits are the fastest path?

Well, getting a +10 or 15% mod item and making ethereal rings is the fastest. However, those aren't exactly being given out at the door.

EVBs are simply better than the other options:

Shadowscream requires farming 3 different items up the wazzoo, plus doing a kind of irritating quest (but it's cheap).

LDoN armor requires the somewhat uncommon temper ingredients, and the market is so saturated, sellback is virtually nil.

Misletoe Cutting Sickles are extraordinarily expensive.

Granted, Velium isn't exactlty growing on trees, but it is a smaller combine, and there's bound to be a fair amount of CVT floating around for a while.

without farming or bazaar your only option is pure enchanted velium for the aid grimmel quest. all store bought.

with a little farming and maybe bazaar if you dont make your own cvt go the enchanted bits.

never ask how to up smithing without farming or bazaar. many high level combines for all tradeskills (virtually all for tailor and smith) are farmed or bought in bazaar from someone else who did. the whats my best route option and list a few is fine. how do i do this storbought is annoying because there isn't a way to do it storebought. smithing and tailor are where the aid grimmel just for earing ppl get caught and have probs like the normal tradeskillers.

I'm sorry... as you can see I made that post in the middle of the night

What I meant was, what is the quickest way to do it WITHOUT farming, but WITH the bazaar.

depends how the velium market is on your server..... not much around on mine.

if you dont want to farm, you are restricted to

Etherial metal rings - if you buy velium..... also if there are no Coldain Velium Tempers for sale in bazaar, thats another timesink of pre combines.

LDON - you kinda stuck with this.

Mystletoe Cutting thingies - exdpensive but store bought.

Have fun, power skilling for Grimmel is not fun or cheap!

Unless I'm delusional...you can still buy CVTs in Thurg, 25-30pp IIRC. So if there are none cheaper in Bazaar that is an option.

The only CVT seller in the game is currently broken and you cannot buy them from him at this time.

                              You're leaving out Acrylia Chain/Plate.

Windstones are reasonably cheap right now on Xegony, for example. And I regularly find Acrylia on NPC Vendors, though the Blocks are often cheaper in the Bazaar.

Essence of Wind is often overpriced, but pretty easy to collect in Twilight Sea if you're over level 39.
