  • Swirling Shadow Drop rate changed?

Just finished killing about 30 Lesser Shades in Shadeweavers - not a Swirling Shadow dropped in the bunch. Just yesterday, I was seeing the normal drop rate. Anyone else notice this phenomenon?

Heh, I'd been curious about the opposite - the rate of swirling shadows entering the bazaar has skyrocketted these last few days. I was wondering if they drop rate had been hugely increased or if they were added to some new table, but figuring it was probably just random fluxuations ...

I am not sure how many shades I killed today, but I ended up with 8 swirling shadows after an hour or two of killing them. In my experience, that is in the range of normal.

I spent several hours killing them last night and didn't notice any drop rate change either.

Drop rate is on average one every six mobs; around 15%.

I've been logging my kills and their drops. I have a "new" run (been a while since I made that run) to analyse still, but the first run yielded me a droprate of 15%, with nearly 300 Lesser Shade kills logged down.

Spent roughly 2 hours yesterday on shadow island in Twilight, got 4 stacks.

The influx on bazaar... people keep farming them for sale, but people no longer willing to pay that much for them. A lot of people are doing smithing just so they can do Aid Grimel, which only requires 220. Enchanted Velium bits (222 triv) are killing the Swirling Shadow market. Which is just as great, cause it leaves shadow island open for people actually doing the smithing.

He's back up and running in thurg now so you can buy the spell now. You'll have to pick up the tempers in the bazaar or make em yourself cause they have been removed from his inventory.
