  • acrylia?

Does anyone actually use acrylia rings or sheets for anything in smithing anymore?

The reason I ask is that I'm currently working on tailoring and trying to collect enough acrylia pieces/small-bricks to make studs and bonings to go along with the stacks of hides I have. Along the way, I'm getting lots of large bricks and blocks of acrylia.

Would it make more sense for me to turn the blocks/bricks into sheets/rings and sell them to smiths, then turn around and use the money to buy pieces/sm-bricks/studs/bonings? Or would it make more sense for me to use a chisel to downgrade the blocks/bricks into small bricks & pieces?

If nobody is gonna want the sheets/rings obviously I'll just downgrade the blocks. If the sheets/rings are actually in any demand at all, I'll try selling them. Suggestions for prices welcome.

mostly if you are going to farm the windstones or pay the pp for them the time/pp involved in getting the acrylia is not that impressive. windstones are pain in but rare and acrylia is more an uncommon. doubt many windstone farmers dont farm there own acrylia. might be wrong though or could vary on server.

Chip them down and use them yourself.

I will use the Acrylia in smithing however I will not buy it normally unless I have a friend/Guild mate or Twink that needs armor. I say chip them down as well and get the stuff you need out of what you already have.

Acrylis is used in Troll Cultural smithing, making the honed weapons, reinforced sheilds, etc. However, there are not many troll smiths out there, and the end result of their work is a slow selling product.

Otherwise its just acrylia plate/chain armor, which is not worht much these days.

Either chisel it down, or look for someone who WANTS the blocks/bricks, and swap them for pieces.

I needed only the small bricks to make practice arrowheads for a fletcher friend, so when I found the larger sizes I'd stick them on my Bazaar mule untouched -- often they would sell for enough that I could turn around and buy 2 small bricks for each large brick/block that I sold.

I'd say check your current Bazaar prices and do as little work as necessary.
