Experimented with sewing needle attempts a bit today.

All in a Tanaan Forge:
Needle mold + water + 2 metal bits
Needle mold + water + 1 small piece of ore
Needle mold + water + 2 small pieces of ore
Needle mold + water + small brick of ore
Needle mold + water + 1 small piece of MQ ore
Needle mold + water + 2 small pieces of MQ ore
Needle mold + water + small brick of MQ ore

Needle mold + Thimble Mold + water + 2 metal bits
Needle mold + Thimble Mold + water + 1 small piece of ore
Needle mold + Thimble Mold + water + 2 small pieces of ore
Needle mold + Thimble Mold + water + small brick of ore
Needle mold + Thimble Mold + water + 1 small piece of MQ ore
Needle mold + Thimble Mold + water + 2 small pieces of MQ ore

I went back through it all again (with and without the thimble mold) with a celestial essence in the mix.

I did a decent number of combines with Dagger Blade Mold and Hilt Mold thrown in as well, but didn't keep track of exactly what combinations I tried (thinking along the lines of Skinning Knife as a possibility). Saw the "thin blade mold" and would've tried it, but didn't feel like the extra clicks or 11pp downpayment

Was really hoping the Thimble mold would do it

I would guess that this is the item they are talking about:

Given that it has such a low item number and that it is surrounded by other very early era items, I would guess that this was an original recipe or a Kunark recipe.

For us less ID-search-skilled, would that place it before or after the "new" weapon molds? By that I mean this group: short blade mold, mace head mold, shuriken mold, hammer head mold, dagger blade mold, curved blade mold, axe head mold, throwing knife mold, throwing axe mold, spear head mold, thin blade mold, halberd head mold, javelin mold, long blade mold, pick head mold

If its before them, it would (hopefully) mean they were added after the sewing needle recipe, which would narrow the number of weapon molds that would be valid to try.

Hmm ... that also reduces the number of ores that could be tried ... regular & MQ are still valid, and I think HQ would be fair game too .... That's all assuming, of course, that the recipe was put in around the time implied by that ID and hasn't been changed since

Thorvari where did you pull this info from? What search engine? Just wondering as I have not found this anywhere I have looked. Did the search engine have a graphic associated with the item?
