Velium Blocks/bricks

I know there is a way to convert smaller pcs of Velium to large bricks/blocks. Is there any known way to convert blocks down in size?

P.S. Currently on 8th shawl and having heck of time with drops

Place the block/brick in a forge with a Smithing Chisel and combine. This will give you a brick of the next smaller size. Small bricks break down to 2 small pieces.
