Ballpark Costs 175+?

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that this gets asked a lot, but I have surfed and searched thru the boards and can't find any info.....any discussion even.........

My human smith is at 175 (from the old days)...I want to take up smithing again and am wondering how much cash I should amass before starting. Basicly just wondering what loose ballpark figure I should have to get from 175 to GM in smithing....Doesn't have to be exact, just a rough cash goal I should shoot for.

Its called Shadowscream

Takes a while to farm if you dont have someone who can AE for you though, but I can get a full 10 slot bag of substances in about 2 hours in Hollowshade doing AE, only thing I pay for is a bit of ore for metal bits and some cheap molds, most of which I get back selling the armor to the vender.

do fine plate to 188. if you farm padding the sell back is not too horible. ldon can get you to 212 without too much pain. then shadow scream is the cheapest route but also the longest most painful. i'm gonna guess with shadowscream net loss of 4k tops aftr selling to vendor.

Now I see why I didn't see anything about it.....Things have changed a lot since i last smithed...about 4 times over....I've been reading up on it but its all kind of overwhelming

I started on shadowscream at 188 and have been doing it ever since. Im at 241 now and its getting very old.
But its faster than LDoN armor, for me anyway, because farming the stuff for it is relativly easy.
Saving up enough LDoN stuff to do 100 combines would take weeks for me, where farming enough for 100 combines of shadowscream I can do in 3-4 days only 2-3 hours a day.

about 1.6 mil if you wanna do mistletoe sickles, but then sell back rate depends on your server. you might be able to break even. I wouldn't try it till about 210 skill or so tho.
