  • Worth skilling up from 240?

I was wondering if anyone had thoughts on if it was worth it for me to skillup past 240 + grandmaster( so 5% mod).

The combo gives me skill 250 ( or 252?).

I know some recipies trivial above 250, so if I keep skilling up would I see improvment, or am I capped now at how high I can go?

    Thanks for any info.

bragging rights. no effect on success at that point that anyone knows of. 252 is the max you are supposed to be able to get. get that at 240 + 5%

        Agreed.

252 is the max adjusted skill level on trades. You have the max adjusted skill at 240 +5%.

Getting to 250 is simply for bragging rights. I'd do it, but no rush as far as I'm concerned. Ya get it when you get it eh?

for smithing, 242 is my goal. it will be good enough for me, and i do enough smithing that i'll eventually see the last few points.

when i was baking and smithing was stuck at 203 (at The Smithing Patch) it was VERY important to me to get it to 250. I really don't know why now. Once brewing got to 242 i only brewed to restock my merchant, not to get skill...

so it's really personal preference, and personal preference may change as you go along =)

I'm beginning to have doubts about the modified cap. Since hitting 250 I have had a much better success rate then I was skilling thru the 240s. I know it could just be luck & this is not enough data to be conclusive, but ya never know.....
