  • Gnome smithing 188+?

currently i'm a gnome with 188 smithing (I just finished fine plate BP's). Any ideas for where to go from here to 240?

Shadowscream seems like too much farming when it's trivial rates are so much higher than my current skill. I looked into Acrylia, but the tempers consume way too much time to make. Since gnome cultural is tinkered, where do I go from here?

Do I jump to shadowscream and spend months of farming, or is there something else I missed? Thanks in advance.

LDoN Smithing! Unless you don't have that expansion yet. But it's great from 188 to 212. Something you might want to look at.

Smithing Tempers can be foraged (good for those classes who have that ability) *and* it's also on mob's loot table as well for those who cannot such as in your case.

LDoN is unfortunately not an option. I purchased the expansion, but I am unable to zone into the new zones because I crash. (SOE told me it had something to do with my firewall.. who knows). =\

You don't need LDoN to make LDoN armors. Just get your buddies to collect the necessary temper agents for you. Make them some stuff.

I started doing this, and I spend more time making stuff for my guildies than I do fighting mobs. It's bloody great.

Correct, although, a person could get more components going on Adventures than relying solely on friends. Plus maybe win on some loot while getting Exp/AA's, get to see new places, mobs, perhaps make some new friends who in turn forage and/or loot Temper materials and give them to you, etc.

Hopefully you can find out what is wrong Sir Paco, sucks having bought the expansion and not being able to explore.

          Good luck to you!
