wow... um, you have a LONG road ahead of you.

Start by making fillet knives. That'll take you to 76 or something. Then make banded mail. Then make ornate chain, then ornate electrum, then ornate gold (that one's iffy), then make fine plate, then make LDoN armors.

    Good luck.

cash is not a problem. i just love that.

anyway. quickest way way is dairy spoons then banded, then ornate bracer, electrum bracer, gold bracer, gold coif, gold mail, fine plate. that is assuming you have no idea what a waste ornate platinum is.

cheapest way. (for us ppl where cash is a problem) zerra guide. quick run down but skipping to banded.

banded bracer to 95 1 sheet
banded helm to 106 2 sheet
banded mail to 115 3 sheet
ornate bracelet to 122 1 ring
ornate electrum bracelet to 128 1 ring
ornate chain coif to 132 2 ring or ornate gold bracelet to 135 1ring
depends on if you want to use 1 or two rings and what the difference between gold and electrum bars is to you
ornate electrum coif to 139 2 ring
ornate mail to 142 3 ring
ornate gold coif 146 2 ring or electrum mail to 148 3 ring
again depends on ring and gold vs electrum
ornate gold mail to 155 3ring
fine plate bracer to 168 1 sheet
fine plate helm to 179 2 sheets
fine plate mail to 188 3 sheets
then its ldon or shadow scream. you can figure out if you want to skip steps based on rings vs bars. if you stick close to trivial, have a geerlock, and farm the hq ore for ornate it actually makes money. each peice of fine plate requires 2 spiderling silk -> silk thread + low quality pelt= leather padding. bazaar it or farm it. that is as complete an answer as i think you will get.

EDIT oh yeah. if i was meaner i would have said shadowscream all the way. or skip straight to fine plate. would have cost you way more though. can i get the money i just saved you? or at least enough to get the golden bracer i have been eyeing for 10 levels and tradeskilling to make sure i never have enough money to get one?

I disagree. Meaner would have been Mistletoe Cutting Sickles all the way.

Once you get ~200, start buying Windstones and Essence of Wind. (And Acrylia Bricks/Blocks)

Acrylia Chain/Plate is still a viable skill-up path... if you're filthy rich.

The High-Level Character's Guide to Smithing - by Monual Lifegiver

Suggestions for people of a higher level and with more resources. I believe he recommends going straight to Banded, then straight to Fine Plate. That gives you an almost 100% storebought route, needing only Leather Padding for the Fine Plate from the bazaar.

That gets you to 188. Past that, if you're willing to just throw money at the problem, you can do mistletoe sickles, your cultural armor (if any, and if the parts you need can be found in your bazaar), or Acrylia. If you're willing to farm, Shadowscream is a darn sight cheaper.

ornate chain is entirely vendor bought or can be. i convert fs weapon for hq ore though. no padding even.
