  • Barbarian Cultural

Hello all, quick questions for some Barbarian smiths out there.

I am about to reach 212 in smithing, and plan on making the cultural after that. I am curious what kind of rate of success I could expect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    rough estimate

get about 25% success on plate bp/legs, bout 35% on other pieces.

On artificers I get about 50% on any piece

This is at 248 with geerlok. Plan on having at least 6 stacks of bds and 3 stacks of tempers if you are gonna try for a set of plate with 212 skill. Barb helanic is definately the hardest armor to smith.

Thank you very much for the information. Would you suggest any other route? Perhaps mistletoe syckles (spelling?).

I wouldn't really consider barbarian cultural viable for skilling up. BD's have definitely gotten cheaper but there is virtually no market for the armor your making now. The market was already limited to shaman and a small subset of barb warriors. When you figure other barb smiths have had months to make armor and saturate the market there really isn't any left. For something like human it was viable and might still be viable to skill up on the bd cultural because you have a much larger market to actually sell some of your wears. I'd probably keep my eye's on the new LDoN stuff to see exactly where those triv out at.

actually my shaman friend is wanting some artificer's on luclin. i am doing all the sub-combines to try and get it cheaper for him. basically only need a 250 barb smith to stick it in forge and hit combine button. was hoping 1k would do it for everything since we're providing all the materials and he isn't selling the item but using it. does that seem reasonable? some ppl seem to think i should do half market value but that seems stupid. all they have to do is hit combine. i'm n erudite or i would do it when mine smithing gets higher. he just doesn't tradeskill much.
