  • My experience with drop rates and LDoN for skillup~

I've done 3 adventures (everfrost, had to leave for raid before done; Oasis, got overrun but got 1 temper component; everfrost, ran out of time and got 1 temper component)

I don't think the drop rates are good enough to make it very useful for skillup, I can farm shadowscream much faster.

What is good is that I get decent experience and I get good cash.

I put out shout-outs to the auction channels regularly for any of the ingredients. I have my guildees go after them (all bard guild), and make armor for them. I merchant mine. Haven't checked the Bazaar, but I'm sure I could find them there, too.

    They can be found.

In the bazaar, I've found people selling single pieces around 30-50 pp. (Druzzil Ro). I found a couple in the process of merchant mining.

I think the conclusion for me is that this might be decent for getting components and xp at the same time, and for getting a product which (at least for the time being) might be worth selling...

But I don't think it makes getting skillups easier by any stretch of the imagination.. I can get shadowscream by the stack in the time it takes to get enough together to make one piece of LDoN plate.

It is easy enough to get though that I'm sure it won't be viable for sales for very long.

        Goblin bones

I did a failed mission in Rujarkian Hills : Arena of Chance (tough map) last night and had 10 goblin bones drop and the druid foraged another.

We had 5 bones drop in the our one previous adventure too. Maybe goblin bones are more common - but certainly provides me with enough drops to make it worth collecting them.

I have been vendor mining and Goblin bones are by far the most available. I find 15 bones to every 1 other component.

Based on the common wisdom, you will need more combines of Shadowscream per skillup than of LDoN plate because of the large trivial jump.

I'm not sure how accurate the common wisdom is, but it does reflect in my own findings, so I am going with it.

Well, I managed to do a run of various 2 sheeters (to insure a trivial above my own 188 skill), about 140 combines (nasty expensive). I managed to grab 8 skillups on my cleric. That seems a whole lot more reasonable than spending 30k for a run of sickles, or farming for 10 hours for a run of SS.
