  • Deathsteel argh!

Okay I am either reading the recipe wrong or something but in a forge I am putting in:

    1 Deathsteel Sheet
    1 Goblin Temper
1 <appropriate weapon mold> Tried dual edged blade mold (which I guess is a Bastard Sword mold /rude verant)

Now I have tried this with and without a pommel mold to no success as of yet either way.

Did I read the Deathsteel recipes wrong?:

    http://www.eqtraders.com/secrets/smithing_weapons.htm

I think I got it right but it just isn't working, Looking for someone to let me know what I am doing wrong please, lol.

        the recipe:

deathsteel sheet, goblin temper, appropriate weapon molds (as per forged weapon recipes above with the following exceptions: rapier and dagger do NOT use a pommel mold)
Since it states that you need to look at the 'forged weapon recipes above' here is the forged bastard sword's recipe from the same page:

        forged bastard sword

water, sheet metal, pommel mold, hilt mold, dual edged blade mold
Anyway, its logical that you need a hilt for a sword....how could you hold the darn thing otherwise?

Okay here we go, ty for the help and this is the correct recipe then as it worked this time:

deathsteel sheet, goblin temper, appropriate weapon molds and hilt mold.

Nothing else required. I will submit this for maybe helping others out who look for the recipe and may get confused as well.

By definition I consider a hilt mold to be a weapon mold since its only used to make weapon hilts.

            I could be wrong tho!

ok i have a question on tis also. since it does not seem to work for me either.
i am using the dagger blade mold + 1 deathsteel sheet + 1 goblin temper.
the forge is telling me that these are not the correct items. do i need to also add in a hilt with this too. thz

You're still ignoring what he said.
According to the recipes on the main site, you need the following for a standard forged dagger:

dagger mold, hilt mold, pommel mold, sheet metal, flask water
According to the info for Deathsteel weapons,

deathsteel sheet, goblin temper, appropriate weapon molds (as per forged weapon recipes above with the following exceptions: rapier and dagger do NOT use a pommel mold)
Ergo, ditch the sheet metal and the flask of water (as they're replaced by the deathsteel sheet and the goblin temper), and ditch the hilt, because the directions say to. Add the deathsteel sheet and the goblin temper, and leave the TWO remaining molds in the recipe.

                  you mean ditch the pommel
