  • New Arrow Heads Trivial At 188

The new Steel Arrowheads trivial at skill lvl 188. I was 187 saw they where not trivial, thrilled i bought a pile of the stuff and did combines. Dinged 188 and they where trivial. Recipe is..

Small Brick of Steel (6pp from SFG NPC)
    Water
    File
Mark of Karana (Tell him "I need a mark"

I believe this will be the new path to 188 just wanted to let you all know! PS i am Karana Ranger but i think it will work for any since it was in a regular forage!

It looks like the Mark of Karana will only be given to Karana worshippers, btw.

I ask this out of ignorance and confusion: Is it the case that this is the equivalent of the Mithril Arrowheds for woodelves, but those trivial at 42 and these trivial at 188? Wow, is that's true, it sure is a nice skill up option in terms of relatively low cost and ease of purchase.

Karana is laughing at Tunare up in those PoP areas that I've got no clue about: "Ha Ha! My worshippers are better smiths than yours!"

That is a GREAT alternate skillup path for smithing, but as stated, the Mark of Karana will only be given to Karana worshippers, so it is not widely available.

According to the recipe, the Mark is returned on success or failure.

Why did the ranger cross the road?

The mark is consumed on a failure when making the blessed steel arrowheads...as is the file.

unfortunately due to the way they implmented this the tunare worshippers who arent wood elves will be complaining and complaining that they cant do arrows because they cant do combines like this such as the karana worshippers can

Unfortunately this is NOT racial fletching like wood elves. Its something completely different (diety fletching). Rather than create an equal counterpart in tradeskills they created something that is just as controversal.

Course of they changed the tunare ones to work like the karana ones then the non tunare wood elves would complain etc.

there is no balance in the universe where restricted combines are concerned.

they should have just implemented the special fletching as a ranger special tradeskill and left it at that in the first place

This is too good a situation for Karana smiths. My money is that they will find a way to nerf this before too long.

                        Ding 188 smithing.

And, in a get it while it's un-nerfed story, the steel arrowheads that you make sell for 4plat 7gold each with kindly faction and 155 cha. That means you can sell them back for a profit.

                        Regards,
