Enchanter Spell Recipe broken??

A few weeks ago I successfully combined the left and right halves of Keris pg. 7 in a Phantasmal Tome to get the Vah Shir Illusion. Just tried to do it again today and got the "Cannot combine in this type of container" message. Did the recipe change, did I overlook something obvious in my 2nd attempt that I did right in the 1st, or did this patch break the recipe? Enquiring minds want to know!! Thanks all.

Hmm

1) Are you SURE you had 2 different halves, and not two of the same half?

2) Did you forget the Parchement & Quill?

If it isn't one of those two, I'm stuped.

Tried this last night with my wizard, both right and left, parchment and quill. Does not combine in container. Evidently even though listed as the new research combines, it has been limited to enchanters.

INT casters spells can only be research by the proper class. WIS caster spells can be researched by ANY INT class.

So, as a wizard, you can research wizard, cleric, druid and shaman spells, but not enchanter, necro or mage ones.

I just tried research with my mage and got the same message "Cannot combine these items in this container type". Now, I was going back to do Old 49 and under spells, so I'm not sure what's going on with this. Research skill is at 110 and I've researched these same spells before...

Out of curiosity, what spell were you trying to do and what components were you using? If a pet spell, you need the pet from the previous spell circle so make sure you're using the right one; and if it's lvl 49 and under research you don't need the parchment and quill.

I'm already assuming you're a mage with the right book, of course.
