  • Database tool?

Well, as the official Research component bank for my guild I'd like to know if anyone has compiled any form of tool telling you what the available combines are?

I have about 6 backpacks worth of various research components and guildies who need spells. Does anyone know if there is a way to compile them all and then figure out what spells we could make from it?

Try this out and see if it works for what you're looking for.

On the left you click on the components you have. (CTRL-click selects multiple single entries. SHIFT-click selects multiple consecutive entries)

On the right it shows you the spells that can be made. If the spell name is green, you can make the combine. If the spell name is red, then the following list of components are highlighted green or red for which ones you have (green) and which ones you don't have (red).

Edit: Oops, just realized you said spells in general. The URL above only has the 50ish to 60 spells. Sorry.

    Baking (250), Brewing (189), Fishing (151), Smithing (129), Pottery (123), Tailoring (101)

Same here. I thought it would be handy, since I hold all the components for our guild, to see which spells I can make for those in need.

This could be a huge help for everyone in charge of research for their respsective guilds.. with a few modifications.... the biggest two being if it could remember what you have (which would require it to be downloadable), and if the spell list was able to be modified... ie, remove spells that are.. less than "rare" or needed.

As is, it is useful... just the volumn of stuff to do each time you'd gain a few research items would be annoying. For doing large batches... it's pretty dang nice

Getting a grey screen probably means you need to upgrade your java addons... as a guess..

A stand alone, downloadable version of this, with a memory would be a godsend.

also the .jar files are pretty huge. if you're on dialup it will take a while to load. just let it sit there (you will get only a gray screen during that time) until it completes.

I made an excel spreadsheet that shows whether or not you can make a spell by the inventory you have. On one sheet it has all of the components listed and you just put how many of each you have in the quantity column. After doing that you can go the the 1st page where I have the spells sorted by class. It shows the spell name/lvl and then a highlighted YES if you can make it, next to that are all the components needed to make that spell. Next to each component for that spell is a box that will show you how many of that particular component you have in inverntory (highlighted also). If you are not able to make the spell, or you don't have a certain component, then the box next to it is left blank with no highlight....that way it only highlights the spells and components that you can make/have and the rest are left blank so you can see what you still need.

I have no idea how to put this somewhere that others can get it, but if anyone has some easy to follow instructions on how I can make it available I will give it a shot. It has really made my job as the guild research bank a lot easier.
