  • A funny thing happened in Old Sebilis :-)

Last night , my Guild Went on a Juggie Raid.
We saw only four new research drops:

    Yeath 105.

    And then, within 10-15 minutes:
    Rune of Tempest
    Words of Capacity
    Words of Expertise.

At which point, the other tailor and I started drooooling. Those are , in order, the Final Erudite Robe, The Final Human Robe, and the Fifth Gnome Robe.

Being something of a gnome tailor, and knowing GM Erudite and Human tailors, I had visions of robes flying in my head.

Rune of tempest was rolled for , and I lost miserably. It goes to a druid who is going to use it for spells , eventually.

Then my level 60 shaman guildleader says HE needs the spells that Capacity and Expertise make. They are for 2 of the few spells he is missing. My heart sinks, and even though he eventually offers to give me one of the research components, I can tell he would be MOST upset. Especially when he hears it wouldn't be for my main.

So , in the end, I pass. I don't roll on the two he needs, and when the situation is explained, nobody else does either. Shaman Guildleader happy. No exciting new robes for me.

    Me sad.

      Juggernauts

I have been 2-box (mon/shaman) farming juggs for about 2 months now, and have seen many runes and words drop. Unfortunately, the set from which the drops are picked is fairly small. No Agony, Retention or Torment, Coruscating, Scintillation, or Zephyr. No Yaeth's other than 103 and 105 and no Toharon's.

But I have had a few tempest runes drop, which I cooked up into those tasty robes (which no one has bought yet, ah well).

I've had 8 croaking dirks drop, one SK helm, and zero copies of malo, torpor, or sunstrike.

you wont find Malo or Torpor dropping off Juggs, Trak possibly but Emp Chottal, Guardian Wurms, or any Kunark Dragon gonna be yer best bet for those.

Aye, The Juggies dropped the level 60 druid spell "Banishment" 3 times in one night,

And possibly our level 60 root, too.

              confirmed 60spells from juggs

have recieved the same spell from both emporer and juggs:

wind of tashania (spelling?) lvl 60 aoe tash. so i am convinced anything that drops spell wise from emp will drop from juggs as well.

                Rune of Tempest:
Druids need them for Frost and CoS. I do not think these spells are that rare. Robe of Tempest (improved damage 3) would probably be more valuable. However, I heard that Elnerik's (lvl 60 wiz spell) for which this rune also is, is VERY valuable.

                Words of Capacity:
Acumen of Dah'Khura is the only reasonable shammy application. And according to a shaman guildie for who I combined this, said that the spell is not a priority one. The Capacity robe (Reagent Conservation III) would be more valuable.

                Words of Expertise:
Not sure how rare is Tigir's Insects. so can't comment.

On the subject of spell drops, not all level 60 Kunark spells are super rare. Spells like Banishment drop all the time and don't sell for much. There are also sub-60 spells that are super rare. Off the top of my head, the rarest Kunark-era spells are group CH for clerics, Banishment of Shadows for clerics and necros, Emissary of Thule and Demi Lich for necros, Torpor, Malo, and Pox for shamans, Sunstrike for wizards, and probably a couple others that aren't jumping to mind. You won't get any of those spells off a Jugg, and they're pretty rare off GWurms and Emperor Chottal. They're most likely to drop off the dragons.

Acumen of Dar Khura is group Acumen and a pretty nice spell. It wouldn't be a priority like Torpor or Malo, but it's still handy in a lot of situations. Tigir's Insects is one of the less common drops off Juggs, and it often sells for a high price in the Bazaar. However, it's really a junk spell (50 percent AE slow) that is useful only in highly specialized situations.

Frost can drop off higher level mobs in Skyfire. Elneriks, on the other hand, drops only off Luclin boss mobs, and is quite a valuable spell.

                    SunStrike

Well, I was in OS a few days ago fighting reets with my guild, and WHAMMO, what drops from a reet?, SUNSTRIKE I'm like HOLY S&*% ON A SHINGLE!! Batman!! Being only wizzy there I got the spell!
Though I've noticed Sunstrike has a tendency to be resisted about 25% of the time.
