See this thread for a compilation of drop locations.

Or check the bazaar and see if anyone is selling it :P

While I LOVE your name, (Darken, or Richard?) , I have to ask.

You are expecting Easy drops for a level 60, highly sought after spell?

I'm sure that you see where there might be a problem with that.

        KEI Research Pages

From what I can tell the really rare spells like KEI are still really rare. The Pages just about never drop and then only in the most remote locations. I seriously doubt anyone here knows where they are. On my server I've seen one of those pages for sale and that guy wanted 10k for it (he still hasn't sold it).

          Yaeth's 26 R

          Yaeth's pg.26 R
          Vessel Drozlin, in Cabilis
48 hour spawntime, lvl 60 SK drops Xolion Rod for Ench epic

Rare and tough mobs indeed. I would expect all the parts of KEI to drop from lvl 60 mobs only. Just speculation. This will not be found in sticky list precicely because it is from an epic mob. In short, you will not find the pieces by farming.. unless you're farming a whole guild their epics.

This is even higher valued than you'd imagine for just KEI, because Yaeth's 26 L and R are also used in a little Cleric spell called Blessing of Aegolism. Good luck!

Actually, what I would like to see happen is some of these high level parts drop off common mobs in second and third tier POP zones, why wouldn't a 60th level spell part not drop off of 61 to 65th level mobs that hit for 700 hps a swing?

Because people don't need any more incentive to hunt in high end pop zones.

Unfortunately there won't be any "easy drops" for high-end level 60 rare spells. I still have yet to see the words I need for my 60 pet heal.

I did see 1 part of the KEI spell drop during a ToV raid, which was rolled and handed to an enchanter.

                    Gnome Robes

At the very least they could make Yaeth 25 right more readily accessible. We may never now just how uber the final gnome robe could be simply because of the rarity of this drop and the significant desire to not "waste" it on a Tailored robe.

I personally think the robe will be more valuble than the scroll. Say KEI sells for 20k on your average server. That means that these components are worth no more than 4k each (5k max). I guarantee the 6th Gnome robe will be worth much more than that.

In about a month of combing the bazaar, I've seen one KEI research component offered for the bargain price (!!!) of 17,000 platinum (can't remember if it was pg. 25 or 26). The KEI scroll itself sells for no less than about 35,000 plat on Innoruuk.

There's no way that gnome robe is worth 17k. The stats aren't that much better than an insidious robe and for my purposes, a vah shir skin robe blows it away, focus effect notwithstanding, for less than 4k in cost.

Anyone that burns a YC pg 25 on that tailored robe needs a good kick in the pants, imo.

You can't just say "focus effect notwithstanding". The reason that robe is valuable js the focus effect.

There are relatively few tradable Spell Haste III items out there, and the ones that are out there are uniformly quite expensive. That this has nice stats is mostly just a bonus.

As an enchanter that is frequently fractions of a second from being pounded into enchanter paste, I can easily see someone paying 20k for that robe. I wouldn't myself, but I would certainly pay 10-12k, if I could afford it.

Given that KEI scrolls seem to have stabilized at just a bit under 20k on E'ci, I can certainly understand using one of the KEI components to make the robe -- in fact, I'd say that if you're a 250 tailor and come into possession of the appropriate component, you'd be silly not to.

To some degree, it probably varies per server whether it's worth it, but to say that anyone that uses that component on the robe instead of KEI is way off base.
