Even so, I still made it in the first attempt for a guild last night

A guildy asked me during a raid if I could make it for him. Now, I didn't know what components were neccessary but he assured me he'd checked and rechecked and that he had the components.

So, I agreed to do the combine for him after finally going to get my new research tome.

Now, if only I can find the runes for sunstrike, GSS, EER, Xuzl, and levitation

How do you get a research skill of 210?

You can't. He's talking 200 plus Geerlok, but he has no idea if the spell trivials greater than 200, a geerlok can't do that.

Geerlock has a 5% research mod.

And, considering I did not get the message you can no longer advance your skill making this item, it's not trivial.

When you attempt a combine with a skill modifier equipped, the skill modifier gives you the extra chance of success but the trivial report is based on your actual skill. With a skill of 100 and a modifier equipped, you can still skill up on recipes that trivial from 101-105, and will not get a trivial message. You will only have the same chance of success as if you had a skill of 105.
