Grip of Zargo Rk. II

Based on Grip of Mori and Grip of Zalikor Rk. II, I expected the recipe for this spell to be:

Rough Orphic Card
Quill of the Arch Lich
Bertoxxoulous' Ink Additive
Extending Thickener
Ink of Bertoxxulous
Ink of Pain
Ink of the Rhino
Ink of the Tribunal

but it DNC. Tried all other levels of Orphic Card, no luck

Thoughts?

Interestingly enough the expected recipe for Hyboram's Swift Venom Rk. II also DNC

Looks like it should be reported /bug.

I just wonder if any "complaint" on the recipes results in anything these days.

What about the several spells with no Ink Additive? Could this be one of those? All wrong, of course; there is space in the kit for the Ink Additive.

I did go ahead and bug report it in game last night, but I have little confidence that will get us anywhere. I've also bugged the Tomes that can be made in a spell research kit and I've started individually bugging each hybrid spell that is only combinable in a hybrid research kit and not a spell writing it.

i did try a few other combinations on inks - doubling some, taking some away, adding an extra quill....all the goofy stuff they exposed by having the sortilege sheet spells scribable.

I just have to say, if Negreth were overseeing tradeskills, these mistakes would be nipped in the bud. (Even though his departure from the area were a promotion, his absence in the area left a void. NOW .... )

They cannot even cut and paste? The errors that are happening show ignorance and carelessness. And I have seen no intent to clean up the mess.

Just wondering, are you seeing such serious problems in skills other than research? Poison crafting or alchemy perhaps?

well, some of the curious things about Alchemy and poison - they have very limited recipes from the last expansions. They didn't even bother to put in new "standard" poison recipes for 101 - 105 (someone said the 100s were "scaling" but since I never use them I really don't know if it's true/right/etc.) and they didn't bother to put in new 101 - 105 alchemy recipes either for anything other than what we've classified here as Plane of Knowledge distillates (healing, clarity, etc.). But even with those - rather than making the 4th ingredient the rare tradeskill drop from the expansion, it's a purchased item from the expansion.

Spells/Tomes/Songs on the other hand are more complicated - not only do you potentially need to understand the Lore behind the ingredients, BUT you also need to understand the spells (which spells are just higher copies of each other). What I'm finding is that some of the "recipes" are there, but they make the wrong **** spell (that tells me the person copying and pasting between lower and higher versions doesn't know what the spells actually do). This business of some Tomes being combinable in a spell research kit and some spells NOT being combinable in a spell research kit, but they are in prayer writing kits or hybrid research kits just seems like sloppiness. that's why I'm still holding out hope that if I individually /bug each one and politely ask for it to be corrected, someone , someday, might actually fix it.
