  • Quick Combine UI with Spell Research

After a 6 year break from EQ, I decided to dust it off and relive some old memories. My memories are extremely dusty so please be gentle with your answer.

I went to do some researching with my mage, and upon opening his Spell Research Kit the only option I had was a combine button. I ran to the forge and the UI was what I remembered; lists of recipes and trivial levels with it using what was in your bags without you having to click, drag, click, drag..

Did they not do this for Spell research, am I using the wrong kit, or is there something I am missing? Any help is greatly appreciated.. and I apologize for the basic, very noobish question.

The answer may be all or none of your thoughts.

The kit: Casters use a Spell Research Kit. Other classes use different containers. I assume you are a caster since you did research years ago and rexerach for non-casters is new, as is the caster kit and all the others.

What the container knows.... The Spell Research Kit comes knowing very few recipes, fewer than any other container. You must teach it by doing a successful combination by experimentation.

I hope these thoughts resolve your problem; if not, repost.

Or it may be as simple as doing a search in the box and adding the recipe to your favorites.

try maybe opening the container doing a ctrl right click? It uses the same UI as the other TS containers where it will give you the ability to search, specify trivial ranges, and combine/inventory...but Paloverde is correct - it won't show you the spells unless you've previously learned the recipe by doing the combine in the past.

AKA Muertenie, Melodee, Orelinde, Nounie, Gnomess, Cininea Ashryn, Mairede or a host of additional alts. Maybe also be found on Rabon, Kynsh or Atracker.

Thank you all for your feedback, the winner is...

          Aanuvane!!!

I wasn't ctrl right clicking on the bag to get the UI that has the ability to search and identify favoritess. Thank you all again for your help.
