Bashful binding powders?

Hubby and I went looking for binding powders today, specifically refined and intricate, but after a total of about 6 hours we found none, of any level. We tried some new (to us) zones, but mostly old standbys where I've found them before. What really made me start to wonder was when we went to infected paw. I KNOW I've found them there before, not in large numbers, but they were there, so I decided to go back there as a last resort. After a couple of hours of slaughtering whole herds of elementals, nothing, not a single binding powder of any sort.

I searched around the forums and such for any information but I couldn't find anything.

Did I miss something obvious? Have they been replaced or removed or something similar? Did we just have a record streak of bad luck? Are the planets not aligned properly?

Boy am I going to feel silly if I find out they're now available on a merchant or have been removed or something like that haha.

I can't speak to most of your thoughts except to say that I looted about 3 binding powders in Tosk just last night, so they are still dropping. I think I would go with the 'planets not aligned properly' angle...

Thanks much. Now I know they're just being stingy, or maybe they're onto me. Maybe if I sneak up on them... perhaps it's time to wash my armor hah. I wonder if extortion would work...

What level are you? Look for zones with large numbers of casters, as they are the ones that drop the powders. Jewel of Atiiki drops LOTS of powders from the Efreeti there.
