Spell Research Trophy

I'm trying to get the "Beginner Researcher Test" task for the Beginner Trophy. When I said "Research" I was told: "Sorry, you do not have enough skill in that ability. Please come back when you are more skilled". So I went from 0 to 48 and I still get the same message. Most of the trivials for the task are under 35. What skill is required?

That Did It

What confused me was that I had a character that never did tradeskills and I was able to get the task for tinkering with no problem and no skill ups, but I was unable to get the research task even after doing skill ups to 48.

I had a skill of 54 in both tinkering and research when I completed the respective trophy tasks.

Yep, Gnomers start with a Tinkering Skill of 50...
