I was told last night that research got bumped to level 80. Didn't know how this could slip by me. Didn't see any new drops anywhere. Is this true or false? If true point me in the direction of the new recipes!!!

There has been nothing posted here indicating that the cap would be raised. Perhaps someone is repeating something from the test server and the only tradeskill related issue there is that there were new levels to Salvage, but like everything else, we will have to wait to see if it goes live with the next patch.
I rarely give any credit to what I hear in game unless they can point me to a source (aka an official Sony announcement), as far too many rumors get pushed, even these days.
