  • Level 58 Rogue Tome Blinding Speed Researchable?

I tried making level 58 Rogue Tome of Blinding Speed for Rogue. Discipline is described as having "One Hunderd Hands Effect" (speeds up attacks). From Lucy: "Focuses energy into your arms, increasing your attack speed"

    In Tome Binding Kit tried:

    Quill of the Deceiver
    Ink Additive of the Nameless
    Invigorating Thickener
    Fine Papyrus Manual (level 58)
Ink of Expedition (from 0 to 6) (Description = One Hundred Hands effect)
Ink of Alacrity (from 0 to 6) (For "haste" efffect)

No luck with any combination of the above inks... I get the message "You cannot combine these items in this container type".

Any ideas? Is this bugged? Am I doing something obviously wrong (other than the obvious not having the proper recipe)? Are low level tomes not researchable and the level 58 or so Manuals worthless?

I'm trying to level up my rogue in research by making use of the manuals he can make but there are no low level tome recipes anywhere that I can find. Thanks for any help.

Blinding Speed is a vendor bought spell, and not Researchable.

Your best bet is detailed in the Research for the Non Caster section of the Tradeskill guide (you will have to scroll down a bit). It will advise you to go through Solutions until you get to 243 skill, then start working on actual tomes (it advises using trivial 262 tomes, which for a Rogue would be a problem, since Tome of Poison Spurs has a 171 trivial and the next tome up the line is Tome of Rogue's Ploy at 298 trivial). Still, Used Parchments for Rogue's Ploy are a fairly common drop, so you do not really lose a great deal by going with those, as no other pure melee class has a tome between 171 and 298 trivial.
