I've been hunting for this stuff for months, I've been to alot of zones. After spending 8hrs in seb today and gathering a grand total of 6 powders I'm wondering if anyone know which zone has the best drop rate for simple.

ok karnors = 0 powders
droga got from ones lists in the links. Didnt notice if i got anything from the ice adapts will have to go back.
Kedge phiny room seahorses dropped some but 15min respawn makes getting 1 or 2 a joke as thers only 7 mos there.
Mesa shammy's not so bad at least you make plat while getting 1 or 2 every 10 - 15mins.
Really want a place thats constant on avg 1 every 5mins kind of place.Grand Master Artisan aka nolife

I got extremely frustrated trying to find spots where the various binding powders drop often. I am just gonna come out and say it: Binding Powders do not drop very often ANYWHERE. Occasionally you will find an instanced zone where a specific powder drops more often than anywhere else, but you are still only gonna get around 3 to 5 per hour.
The only way I have found to get a lot of binding powder in a short period of time is to set up a buyer in the bazaar during my downtime.

Simple powder drops
Zaltak actually gave the best one...Seb. I was in there the other day and every caster mob had one. Since I am past that level of research with that powder, my guild bank is cheery full of them.
Also, try Droga as well. Along with all of the other mid level crafting, again on caster mobs I got some various powders to drop.

I know this is silly, but it so often seems to be the Truth.

Definitely Murphy in effect. Also, on a more existential approach, I feel it has a lot to do with our perception.
When you do not need a certain dropped item that is showing up every now and then, it might seem like you're getting a lot of it. Example: "Wow, I have 12 simple binding powders after hunting in Seb for 3 hours. I have no need for these, but 12 is a lot so I am gonna save them!"
But when you need a certain dropped item, no matter how much you get it is never going to be enough. Example: "Jesus H. Christ, I have been hunting in Seb for 3 entire hours and all I have to show for it are these 12 simple binding powders! How am I ever going to get the 100 powders I need?"
Whenever I see someone posting that they "got a lot of xxx binding powder from yyy zone" I always make sure that I remember the first example above.

I usually get a fairly decent amount of these when I go to do tribute farming in Caverns of Exile (SolC). The goblins and kobolds seem to be the most plentiful and, as a result, have the best drop rate per time spent. The giants drop a lot of powders too, but I don't recall if they were simple powders or not.
