Research for non researchers!

I am a warrior, but I was pretty sure I saw somewhere that anybody can do research now. I'm interested to 1) research tomes and such, but to also convert Mechanotablets into Mechoinstructions.

My question to you all is CAN I get my research skill up? And then how? Or at least what is the best/fastest way?

No Mechanoinstructions for you

Only int-casters may make Mechanoinstructions.

You may however skill up and make tomes:

Powders

I saw a discussion on it someplace but I cant remember the result. Can melee types use powders to level their research? aka Ive got a 300 Chanter, can I get essences off her to research on my SK?

You cannot use Powders to do Melee or Hybrid Research, and there are no Mastery AA's available to either Melee or Hybrid.

Trivials on tomes are lower though than for equivalent caster levelled spells to make for this.

Err can I make spells to level? I have a ton of solutions still from leveling the chanter ( and the thought of making more solutions jsut because Im obcessive about tradeskilling make me feel a little sick to my stomach).


Keep in mind too. Non-regular researchers can make the researcher ceramic clay from Drake wing webbing.

Non-Int casters cannot make mechanoinstructions???? Then why on earth did they allow those quests? Bellfast gives out the quest for int casters and for non. What is the point of the non and why did they give me the books?

Sorry if it seems attacking, thats not my intent. I just put a ton of time into doing those quests....for nothing

Bellfast' useless books

You can quest for 5 books from Bellfast. Except for Scrindite's Mechanoinstruction Manual (for int-casters), their only purpose was to reveal recipes and provide lore.

My druid and SK have 3 of the books wasting bank space, and the other 2 tasks wasting task space, but I'm silly that way.

My friend, Baackus, was one of the earlier warriors to reach 300 research. He was very dissapointed, when the Scrindite's Mechanoinstruction Holepoker he'd tinkered failed to work for him.
