These are correct. Additionally, the 50+ scrolls you can determine which dropped resource converts to which scroll by ignoring the first adjective in the name.

    e.g.

Stained Fine Runic Paper -> Fine Runic Paper
    Used Parchment -> Parchment
Grubby Crude Spell Scroll -> Crude Spell Scroll

The scrolls blocks are not all the same, however, regarding how many tiers are in each block and the names of those tiers. Fortunately, the relative order of those tiers are the same:

    Tiers:
    Spell Scroll
    Papyrus
    Parchment
    Vellum
    Paper

    and...

    Ranks:
    Crude
    Rough
    (nothing)
    Fine
    Vellum
    Fine Vellum
    Runic
    Fine Runic

Again, not every tier uses every rank but the ones that are used are always in this order.

Tomes are exactly the same but with different titles for the tiers

    Manual
    Papyrus Manual
    Parchment Manual
    Vellum Manual
    Grimoire

Hide are stretched out a little more as each hide type is subcombined out across 5 levels:

    Tiers:
    Stiff
    Crude
    Rough
    (nothing)
    Fine
    Supple
    Runic
    Fine Runic
    Supple Runic
    Fine Supple Runic

    and...

    Rank:
    (nothing)
    Cleaned
    Prepared
    Smooth
    Pristine

Again, all ranks aren't always used but they are always in this order.

I hope this helps make sense of hides, scrolls, manuals.

After my cold medicine wears off I will post the source/unprepared papers/vellums, the materials/solutions and costs/vendors to make the process even a hair easier.

Thanks for double checking my work Ro.

Aye, but I always found it a pain to sort through all my parchments when making a large batch of spells of different. I thought the list would act as a small aid to researchers so they could go to their bank and pull out what they needed without having to right click everything and cost them more time.

Has it been revealed yet what the 76-80 research component will be? (e.g., paper, vellum, etc.)

            Thanks!

No, and unlike the last one, where Paper was dropping months before it became a spell path, there are no drops that appear Research orientated.

We will have to wait for the next expansion and see what shows up.

For sorting through the research drops, i have about 4 dedicated bags in order of the spells they make and another half bag with the lower level stuff. This of course depends on me having a copy of every drop from 75 on down. But when I farm or buy a new drop, just auto bank and there it is...

When I go to make a spell, it is really easy to find the parchment/vellum/whatever i need...

Aye Pilot, I have a similar set up - I have a "research" mule who holds all my parchments, inks, quills, thickeners and additives...All the inks, quill, thickeners and additives are alphabetical and all the parchments/vellum/etc are all in order of spell level from 75 on down...helps me find stuff fast to make spells for guildies and alts!

I never said the list wasn't useful, was just offering a hint to folks who don't keep stuff printed out! Thanks for taking the time to pull it together for everyone GrimwoodCT!

I often find myself answering questions of "can this be used for anything?" or sorting through well meaning donations in the guildbank. I'm always coaching folks on the "tradeskill" tag to help determine "on the fly" if its vendor fodder or something that someone might be able to use.
