  • Minohten's Purifying Panpipes Rk. 2... Is it broken?

I copied the level 71 druid spell cure corruption to make this. The bard version is a 74 spell. Same target, same effect, same resist. Only difference is level.

    Druid Version
    Quill of the Storm Warden
    Rough Paper
    Ameliorating Thickener
    Ink of Decay
    Ink Additive of The Nameless

    Bard Version
    Quill of the Maestro
    Runic Paper
    Ameliorating Thickener
    Ink of Decay
    Ink Additive of The Nameless

I've tried all the heal, buff, and debuff thickeners in place of Ameliorating Thickener. I tried using Rough Paper in case it was a copy/paste issue. None of these have worked. Ngreth confirmed it was in game but can we get confirmation that it is working and that the recipe is not incorrect?

I am not home yet to try this out, but the spell deals with Corruption resistance, and as there was not a specific Ink or Ink Additive to deal with Corruption until the TSS spells were added last summer, I have to wonder if that might be the issue.

The druid version uses Ink Additive of the Nameless and Ink of Decay, essentially no resist (commonly used for Disease or Poison cures), and a new Ink added with the upgrade to Research last summer specifically intended to make Corruption based spells with.

The most likely alterations would be Ink of Saryrn, Ink of Bertoxxulous, or Ink of Rainbows, on the chance that the song was seen as Poison or Disease based, or put into place before Ink of Decay was made available to deal specifically with Corruption. Alternately, the spell may have been seen as reducing counters on an existing effect, so perhaps Saryrn's Ink Additive, Bertoxxulous' Ink Additive, Zebuxoruk's Ink Additive, or Veeshan's Ink Additive were used on this assumption.

A lot of possible combinations, but there are only a handful of Corruption Resist or Cure spells in the game, all of them used the recipe you have noted except Resist Corruption, which uses Invigorating Thickener, and you said you have tried that already.

I will poke at it in a couple hours and see if it might be a problem with Ink or the Additive.
