Can spell research make tomes?

for a warrior you need a tome binding kit
bards use song writing kit and so on

casters cannot make tomes appropriate classes make appropriate tomes
zerkers,warriors,rogue,monk make tomes in tome binding kit for example. they cannot make bards songs or hybrid spells. a zerker can make warrior tomes cuz they use the same kit.

I'm at 260 and I am confused as a rog.
there is a big gap between the level 56 and level 61 tomes.
is it because the recipes havn't been discovered or because there are no researchable spells appart from those already discovered ?
I tried several ber tomes, the 100 hands effect ones, following the one already discovered, with the right manual without any luck.

question is really should I skill on the tomes already discovered or try to make and discover the level 57 to 60 as I have the papers required to do it but unfortunatly not the recipes ?

56 tomes - 258
61 tomes - 298
65 tomes - 331

At 258 skill, with a 5% mod, you already have a 95% success rate for a 298 trivial item. It's not a big jump in trivial at all.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think all Tomes between lvl 57-60 are vendor sold. So it's quite possible they don't have recipes.

ok that's the reason....I didn't know research applied only to "non-vendor" tomes...
bad news for me is that I sit on useless paper...anyway back on farming bazaar then !

Correct. I even tried making them after my necro made the parchments, it will not combine.

The essences are tradeable.

And as far as researching hybrid spells. Let's look at Ranger62 spell Call of the Rathe.

It is not updated on this site until somebody has made one in the Hybrid Kit and confirmed the recipe works.

That way anyone who looks a recipe up on this site can be certain the existing information contains no guessing.

Of course, having said that, my guess is that there are not massive numbers of Hybrid Researchers out there yet who are making and confirming the recipes.
