I have a level 52 Cleric, and I'm trying to catch up my research skill. I'm at 54 skill, and now I'm not sure what to do. The guides I've read here are either horribly out-of-date, either stating that only INT casters can research, or include research steps that are limited to INT casters (runic hides, etc).

Anybody have a link to a recent research guide? Alternatively, what do I do now?

The Tradeskill Guide 5.0 still works reasonably well for non Int casters.

Of those, I cannot say that LoY Swatches or the Training and Journeyman Runes are possible with a Wis caster, but Oil of Vitrol and the Solutions and spells certainly are.

You may find Int caster Research skill guides that talk about Binding Powders, and although those are a fairly efficient means to get above 243 skill for an Int caster, a Wis caster (or melee Researcher) cannot use them.

An alternate method to get to 262 skill if you can find a good number of the materials is Ceramic Researcher Clay, recipe at http://www.eqtraders.com/items/show_...r=035000000000 .

Beyond that, you will essentially be working from 262 to 300 with spells only, which is time and material consuming, but as I did the same with an Int Researcher and am presently doing the same with a Melee Researcher, I can assure you it is relatively painless.

Just remember you need a Prayer Writing Kit instead of a Spell Research Kit for the combines for a Wis caster.
