What does - The muzzle is "misc" mean?

Hi there I have only just found you guys - like others really wish to research the Muzzle of Mowcha - I tried upgrading Muzzle of Mardu recipe with the paper - guess I need a different ink?

Is the - The muzzle is "misc" the clue?

    Thanks

Of course, this description means the recipe takes 11 items. And in response: http://mboards.eqtraders.com/eq/show...45&postcount=3

So, the recipe for Summon: Pouch of Jerikor (lvl 68 Mage, OoW) turns out to be:

          Quill of the Arch Convoker
          Fine Vellum
          Conjuring Thickener
          Ink of the Bear
          Ink of the Dal
          Ink of the Erudite
          Ink of the Monkey
          Ink of the Nameless
          Ink of the Rhino
          Ink of the Serpent

But hey , I don't mind at all with the new rules. I think having the Additive in there makes more sense than having the Bag. Although this will mean OoW rules will be different from TSS rules.

(Is it important to make them follow the same rules? The bag is specified in the in-game book. But the missing Additive is arbitary.)

It's gonna be great fun figuring these new TSS mage spells out after the next patch. Given the spells' rarity and desirability, and the fact that my main is a mage, I can do this all day haha.
          Hrm. I forgot this

I may go change this back since I had made the rule... I am not sure though I may go change the old spell.

My guess for Summon Elemental Armaments:

            Fine Paper (Lvl 73)
Quill of the Arch Convoker (Mage Spell)
            Conjuring Thickener (Summoning Spell)
Ink Additive of the Nameless (No Resists)
Ink of the Nameless (summoning a bag)
            Ink of zek (summoning weapons)
Ink of Druzil Ro (magic weapons)
            Ink of I'ci (cold weapons)
            Ink of Ro (fire weapons)
            Ink of Innoruk (hate weapons)

And I was thinking it'll be:

              Fine Paper
              Quill of the Arch Convoker
              Conjuring Thickener
              Ink Additive of the Nameless
              Ink of Zek
              Ink of Zek
              Ink of Zek
              Ink of Zek
              Ink of Zek
              Ink of Zek

              since Ngreth said:

Originally posted by Ngreth Thergn View Post

and if there were more pieces than the ink could cover... like I said, drop the bag, and then just do as many as will fit in the container of the rest.
Doesn't mean it's consistent to the original rules. But I trust Ngreth's recent memory more than consistency on this

Just quoting the text from "Systematic Spell Research Addendum: Summoning "

You will also continue to use the standard conjuring thickener for these [summoning] spells
Ink of the Nameless works on spells that summon miscellaneous items including bags
Ink of the Zek works for spells that summon weapons
If the spell summons multiples of the same item you will not need
additional ink, but if it will summon different items you will need to include
ink for each item up to the first seven items. If it summons items in a bag, you
must include ink of the nameless for the bag, and then the appropriate inks for the first six items.
Hmm... so the weapons could be interpreted several more ways:

                Fine Paper
                Quill of the Arch Convoker
                Conjuring Thickener
                Ink Additive of the Nameless
                Ink of the Nameless
                Ink of Zek

would even work if you consider the fact that your summoning "weapons" as "multiples of the same item "

                or

                Fine Paper
                Quill of the Arch Convoker
                Conjuring Thickener
                Ink Additive of the Nameless
                Ink of the Nameless
                Ink of Zek
                Ink of Zek
                Ink of Zek
                Ink of Zek

with one ink of zek for each set of weapons one for each set since "multiples of the same item will not need additional ink" only each set needs an ink.

I dont like the idea of dropping the ink for the bag, previously (with the jewlery spells) the ink additive was removed with the reasoning of "with that much ink, there is no need for an additive", not sure if that was said here by ngreth, or in the sys research volumes.

Eanelder is correct with the way it SHOULD be... (I will think a bit on which of the two I like... probably the first simpler one.)

Elfdruidess is correct with the way I believe it currently is.

I will be changing it when I get back from vacation. I guess I should go back and read some of my books when I make these things!

                      Got them all but one.

                      Level 71 Mage - Summon Aenda's Trinkets

                      Summon Item: Phantom Satchel
Summon Item (in bag): Aenda's Satin Choker
Summon Item (in bag): Aenda's Woven Shawl
Summon Item (in bag): Aenda's Linked Bracelet
Summon Item (in bag): Aenda's Gold Ring
Summon Item (in bag): Aenda's Ridged Earhoop
Summon Item (in bag): Aenda's Jade Bracelet

                      Rough Paper
                      Quill of the Arch Convoker
                      Conjuring Thickener
                      Ink Additive of the Nameless
                      Ink of the Serpent
                      Ink of the Dal
                      Ink of the Bear
                      Ink of the Rhino
                      Ink of the Monkey
                      Ink of the Erudite

                      Rough Paper
                      Quill of the Arch Convoker
                      Conjuring Thickener
                      Ink of the Nameless
                      Ink of the Serpent
                      Ink of the Dal
                      Ink of the Bear
                      Ink of the Rhino
                      Ink of the Monkey
                      Ink of the Erudite

Both are DNCs. Also tried two Ink of the Rhino and two Ink of the Bear instead of one of each.

I too am missing Summon Aenda's Trinkets. Was trying to put myself into the mindset of the Master Ogre to see what the recipe *could* be. So I even tried the following.

                        (1)

If the Master Ogre did not go back to read his books, then this is what he may think:

                        Rough Paper
                        Quill of the Arch Convoker
                        Conjuring Thickener
                        Ink Additive of the Nameless
                        Ink of the Nameless
                        Ink of the Nameless
                        Ink of the Nameless
                        Ink of the Nameless
                        Ink of the Nameless
                        Ink of the Nameless

                        Nope. Didn't work.

                        (2)

How about if the Master Ogre mistook Ink of the Boar for Ink of the Bear? Nope. That didn't work either. Hehe.

What ever it is ... it should match its predecesors recipies.

Has anyone checked if the recipie for Spell: Summon Jewelry Bag has changed via the UI?

If Ngreth did decide to "change" the rules, the previous recipies would have to (should) have changed as well.

                                terminology question

Does DNC stand for "Does not combine"? As in the listed attempted recipe does not work?

I also was looking forward to mage spells such as Elemental Armaments and Muzzle of Mowcha being researchable as I have never been able to get them as drops and was not going to pay insane prices of 200-300k for them.
I was excited to see in the patch notes that TSS spells are now researchable even though I have no clue what the recipes will be. Should I stumble upon the right combination (through sheer trial and error) then I will post my results here.
