  • Are lvl 71/73 Mage Summon Spells enabled?

    Spells in question:

Summon Aenda's Trinkets (lvl 71 mage)
Summon Muzzle of Mowcha (lvl 71 mage)
Summon Plate of the Elements (lvl 71 mage)
Summon Elemental Armaments (lvl 73 mage)

    As a test:

Summon Aenda's Trinkets (lvl 71) is a simple upgrade of Summon Pouch of Jerikor (lvl 68). I adhered to the recipe of Summon Pouch of Jerikor and just switched to the lvl 71 Rough Paper. It's DNC.

    Question:

So is it safe to assume the recipes for these 4 spells are currently not enabled? And will they be enabled soon?

These 4 spells are regular TSS spells except that they do not have Ranks 2 and 3. Therefore Rank 1 is mob drop and not vendor sold. It's possible these 4 spells are missed if only Rank 2 spells are enabled for research.

The SoF mage summoned items were single rank drops and I believe excluded from research list.

From what I read in beta, I believe Prat gave Ngreth a list of spells which should be made reasearchable some spells did not make that list such as the spells above.

Personally I believe it was a bad idea to leave those items off the list. From the SoF Beta, those were considered "Rank 2" level spells (and why they were drop only ) so I dont see why they should have been excluded.

he did it with a query... which of course can miss some things... since he specifically looked for rank II since those do not have a rank, they would not have shown in the query :/

But the question remains .... will they be left unresearchable or will some kind and very just Dev decide to create recipes for them becoming even more loved the he currently is?

So can we keep on petitioning for the recipes of these 4 spells to be enabled? .

Eanelder's reasoning that they are considered Rank 2 spells seems to be a very strong argument.

Or, if you look at it another way, is there any other TSS spell that is still left unaccessable in any Rank via vendor or research apart from these 4?

Hope so. There's one gal selling the Muzzle for 165k in Baz and getting it. She has a lot.

I go to the boneyard when I have time and farm them and give them away. My plan on this expansion was to make a zillion of them and give them away free (I bought up all the paper in the baz pre-expansion).

It's rare. And people want it. Not so much the others mentioned are wanted as much but I'd like to see them researchable too. Doesn't make any sense that they're not.

                Bah

One of the main reasons i purchased expansion was to be able to research muzzle of mowcha for my mage.
On our server its insanely priced at 300k.

I camped for it for 2 months spending several hours a night, and it never dropped.

I will poke Prat today to get an answer on if I can make these.

                          Mages rejoice!

But existing "Ink Rules" (see below) only solve Summon Aenda's Trinkets and Summon Elemental Armaments.

Summoned Ring = Ink of the Monkey
Summoned Mantle = Ink of Dal
Summoned Earring = Ink of Erudite
Summoned Choker = Ink of the Serpent
Summoned Bracelet = Ink of the Rhino
Summoned Bracelet = Ink of the Bear
Summoned Weapon = Ink of Zek
Summoned Belt = Ink of the Cat
Summoned Bag = Ink of the Nameless

Summon Plate of the Elements summons 8 pieces of visible armor.
Summon Muzzle of Mowcha summons a Face item.

New "Ink Rules" need to be created.

well... I think the rules drop the bag if there is not enough room for it? (if not that is what I did)

                            The muzzle is "misc"

I did make a new rule for the armor... but it should be reasonably obvious what I chose for ARMOR...

and if there were more pieces than the ink could cover... like I said, drop the bag, and then just do as many as will fit in the container of the rest.

Actually, "Systematic Spell Research: Summoned" says: Use Inks for the first 7 items summoned. If the spell summons a Bag, Ink of the Nameless must be used. Then add inks for the first 6 items summoned.

Of course, this description means the recipe takes 11 items. And in response: http://mboards.eqtraders.com/eq/show...45&postcount=3

So, the recipe for Summon: Pouch of Jerikor (lvl 68 Mage, OoW) turns out to be:

                              Quill of the Arch Convoker
                              Fine Vellum
                              Conjuring Thickener
                              Ink of the Bear
                              Ink of the Dal
                              Ink of the Erudite
                              Ink of the Monkey
                              Ink of the Nameless
                              Ink of the Rhino
                              Ink of the Serpent

But hey , I don't mind at all with the new rules. I think having the Additive in there makes more sense than having the Bag. Although this will mean OoW rules will be different from TSS rules.

(Is it important to make them follow the same rules? The bag is specified in the in-game book. But the missing Additive is arbitary.)

It's gonna be great fun figuring these new TSS mage spells out after the next patch. Given the spells' rarity and desirability, and the fact that my main is a mage, I can do this all day haha.
