How do peeps research new recipies (and where)?

Since the release of the new expansion and the discussion by the developer responsible for tradeskills in these forums statements we know that new recipes will be available for new items.

My question is when...and how will the people at traders corner learn of them...and when do they get posted to the database?

Is it something like lucy where the data is extracted from game updates and posted here automatically or does everyone and their sister just keep putting things in combine containers and clicking on the button?

If the former then when and if the latter then what forum here do they post their experiments?

recipes are learned in game, laely using ingame scrolls and books.. and posted here in the updates section where a team of volunteers puts them in the database.

Researching new spells

There is a methodology to the spell system. Each ingredient does a certain thing. Thus. when the new expansion comes out, we will experiment to try to make the spells and post our findings somewhere in the forums.

New aspects (such as what makes a rank II versus a rank I) will most likely be covered by a new book or scroll on one of the research vendors.

Typically, when a new expansion comes out, the people here at EQTC set up a separate submission section for just new expansions recipes. To not clutter the update submissions section.

Often people who participate in beta know or have an idea what to look for in the next expansion and some specifically do beta to help Ngreth test all the recipes and combines and quests that he might have put in.

New in game guides are often the first sources of information and then people go to work figuring out all the new recipes and then come here to submit data for this independent database.

Thanks all that clears it up for me. I will go to the link provided and see if I can guess how the components add their "flavor" to the spells.

I do note there is no recipe for single "temperance" only group currently

The single target Temperance spell is the result of a quest. Often, quest spells aren't researchable. This may change with the next expansion.
