  • Where are the recipies?

I've noticed most all the spell research recipies on the main page are just not there. Are they now listed in some other section I don't know of?...

If you were thinking of the old research system involving combining runes/words/pages etc. those were removed in favor of the revised system.

Wow, that looks beyond too complicated. I don't get it, the spell research pieces were a decent random drop thing you could get and sell or use. Now they "revise" it into this jumbled mess and then proceed to litter our loot tables with gobs and gobs of unsellable cultural tradeskill components. Sucks to be me I guess...

I much prefer the new system.

I don't have six bags of Yaeth's pages, Toharon's Memoir, Finnok's Treatise, etc. all missing "the other half".

I don't have to go out and hunt for that rare random drop for the remainder of one attempt at the spell and curse up a blue streak when I fail.

I don't have to keep looking back and forth from my bank to the bazaar and merchant windows to see if that's a right or left half that I do or don't need.

I don't have to tell guildies that Yaeth's 82 and 83 were of no use, but to keep 25 and 26. Guildmates now just know I want any of the dirty spell parchments that aren't "Spell scrolls".

Instead, I have two and a a half bags of cleaned parchments of various types., and a bag of thickeners. I can then make any spell I darn well feel like, for whatever class needs it.

Me personally on my chanter, i dont even bother with the thickeners and inks and quills now with the addition of them being sold on the vendors. This just makes things better overall as far as figuring things out when new recipes come in. I have many of the "paper" stationary ready to go come xpak release so we can get the new recipes into the data base post haste =)

I populated the bag of thickeners before that merchant arrived, and now that the option exists, I will also not be holding onto thickeners any more. ;D
