Ngreth posted a list of all the recipes he made for tomes on the Sony EQ forum. I went through the list and tried to separate out all the info I can.

Then I tried to find out what tomes aren't on the list. I did not include the tomes from Chaos Runes from GoD raid mobs, the Tome of Tainted Axe of Hatred, or the level 69 tier 2 DoN progression tomes. They are all from raids and I don't think we will be allowed to research them. /mourn TAoH!!

While I understand the desire to inject a roleplaying-ish rational into this, I don't think the current plan quite covers it...no offense, but it seems like the easy way to do it, without truly expressing roleplay concerns.

Call it lazy or whatever you want... it is your options.

I can ***ONLY*** period. Without massive code changes which would mean that Tome research would still be YEARS off (Or just tossed at INT researchers which I think is even more wrong)... adjust difficulty by CLASS. Period. I can absolutely NOT include race.

I also have a 4 Container limitation... so I can only have 5 grouping that will work consistently. And that "grouping" will be able to make the recipe I attach the container too.

Nothing will be changing at this point anyway, just letting you know.

And "No Offense" softens nothing when you are being offensive.

I'm 100% sure I got the list correct. The only tomes that would qualify for the raid tomes are the ones you get from Chaos Runes, Tainted Axe of Hatred, and maybe the tier 2 DoN progression. The DoN one used to need a raid but I think high end toons can single-group it now. Here's a list of the tomes I did not include:

The only odd thing about the list is that one of the tomes is available from a quest AND a vendor. I don't know why, but Tome of Battle Cry of the Mastruq is available from the Taelosian Geomancy Stones Jelki and various vendors.

I didn't call it lazy...lazy would have been throwing the new recipes into the current research pool and calling it a day. And it is the easy way in light of the massive code changes that you indicate would be necessary. That's all I meant; if you took offense, sorry about that...none was intended.

Didn't know if you could or not; was merely something that ran through my mind as I was thinking about it. However, what with Tinkering being race restricted and Alchemy/Poisons being class restricted, it never even occurred to me that it simply wouldn't be possible to base things on a combination of class and race.
