Spell: Splurt

Has anyone an idea on the recipe of the spell Splurt?

It's listed at http://www.editgrid.com/user/kyroskr..._Spell_Recipes, and also mentioned in this thread: http://mboards.eqtraders.com/eq/showthread.php?t=12847, but the actual recipe is neither listed here, nor at Allakhazam.

The IDs in the Spreadsheet are not the correct ones, i assume? I looked them up, and came up with the following:

Ink Additive of the Nameless
Ink of the Eagle
Conjuring Thickener
Quill of the Arch Convoker (tried also Quill of the Arch Lich)

I did not find the ID of the Scroll, but for lvl 51 Spells this should be Rough Spell Scroll, right?
Those items do not combine though
Since i'm fairly new to spell research, i have no real idea left. This spell would be quite nice for my Necro, but if it is really drop only, i will most likely never get it...

Should be:

• Rough Spell Scroll
• Quill of the Arch Lich (Necro Spell)
• Luclin's Ink Additive (Magic Resist)
• Extending Thickener (Dot)
• Ink of Pain (Does damage)

The datagrids file got corrupted after someone started sorting the columns independantly. So none of the recipies are correct unfortunately.

The new systematic is based around the fact that they dont need to be posted anywhere.

SoE does not provide the recipies, it up to the player to "solve" them (players are given the method to so) and in turn, if they wish they can post here.

I don't remember Splurt be researchable under the old system. I thought Splurt was a result of a OT spell turn in quest

It is a dropped spell. I had to go kite in Skyfire when my necro dinged 51. Amazingly it was the first spell that dropped for me after only 5 mobs.
But, it is not listed in my UI mod that lists the old research recipes, so it might have relied on a drop that didn't exist.

The rule of thumb is "if there was an old research recipe, then it got converted in SoF".

The sticking point is that apparently not all old research recipe's were known, but they did exist. Splurt seems to be an example of this, I know there are a few others such as Gate, Bind Affinity, annul magic etc.

Ngreth provided a list of what spells exist, so anyone is free to see which "old"
spells are researchable.

Where can this be found? I've been tampering with the beastlord pet buffs and determined that Spirit of Flame is not researchable. Would be helpful to see if the spell exists(potentially) before wasting time trying to figure it out.

Thanks much. That list is a major help for me. I started research in the old system, but only got to 140 or so. Went from that point to 300 in the new system. I like the fact that one can actually figure out what should be combined to make a spell.
