  • Problems with necro spells

I've double and triple checked the recipes for Zevfeer's Theft of Vitae:

    Bertox. ink additive
    extending thickener
    ink of pain
    ink of tunare
    quill of the arch lich
    fine runic papyrus

    Combine won't work.
The other is Banishment of Shadows:

    arcane thickener
    fine runic papyrus
    quill of the arch lich
    3 (unstacked) inks of pain
    luclin's ink add.

Please look at the notes on the recipes.
    " Recipe Unconfirmed "

    Zev's probably uses consuming thickener.
I believe it is a health-tap over time.

Banishment of Shadows has 3 inks because I do not know what inks work for the banish line of spells. Technically, it kills the mob, yet it does no hp damage.

I also believe there is a nuke of the same spell level. I did not want players to create some other (confirmed) spell with this unconfirmed recipe.

the other "banishment" type spell that used extra inks of pain was to differentiate between another recipe which would be dupilicated otherwise. I believe it was for the Wizard version.

For the necro version, I would start with 3 inks of pain, then keep removing one at a time if they DNC. It should need only 1 or 2.

        Paralyzing Earth

I am also having trouble with a necro spell. I have the receipe for paralyzing earth but it states it's for enc, wiz, etc. but does not mention necro's.

        fine supple runic hide
        ink of the listless
        luclin's ink additive
        debilitating thickener
        quill of the coercer

My question is: Do you change the quill for the class you are making the spell for or is there a different receipe for each class?

          bit of a gray area.

Spells are supposed to use quill of lowest class that can scribe it.
For Paralyzing Earth - enc (lvl 45) is the lowest.

However, there is also a lvl 46 recipe with nec as the lowest. I will have to confirm it in game to see if both work, or just one has a catch-all.

When the first LDoN spells went in, they duplicated a lot of spells.

          Spell Reflect (WIZ)
          Spell Reflect (MAG)
          Spell Reflect (ENC)
          Spell Reflect (NEC)

          It can go either way.

The patch on the 16th will fix that. I added NEC and WIZ to the scroll made by the current recipe.
