  • Recipe for Lion's Strength does not seem to be working

Trying to create the spell Lion's Strength (DRU 67). The recipe calls for:

    Ink additive of the nameless
    Ink of Zek
    Invigorating Thickener
    Quill of the StormWarden
    Vellum

Tried with these components and got a DNC message. Tried with Ink of the Rhino just in case the strength component needed it, but still no success. Any ideas?

Just tried another 68 spell with the same results. Is it because I'm on the progression server? If so, that's pretty stupid. I'm trying to research the exact spells from an expansion that's already open on our server.

Just a note. The recipes for the solutions and the parchments worked, so it doesn't make sense to me that it's the server I'm on. Yet both spell combines failed even though I was using the exact recipe listed here.

OoW spells did not become available until the release of TSS on other servers. I believe recipies are released on the progression server the same time as they were on live. So you will have to wait a little longer.

On live servers we can make the solutions and clean stationery for lvl 71-75s spell since the release of TSS, even though there are currently no spells that can be made with them. Believes its to help with skill up options etc.

Argh! When TSS opens, we won't need these spells since RK1 of all the TSS spells will replace them and those are store bought.

Smithing, Tailoring and now JC all provide items which are equivalent to the best group gear you can get at that level. I don't understand why research doesn't do the same.

What possible use is there for my research skill when I can only research spells that are two expansions old and five levels too low?

All good points, but ... that is how it works on the live servers aswell.
