  • Spell: Focus ___ Spellcaster's Essence

I posted the recipe list for this new line of spells in a doc on Shadrok's post in the SoF submission area. I'm still too much of a noob to post the link here it seems.

There is a pattern to the Spell: Focus and Spell: Mass Focus as can be seen in the table. However, that pattern is disrupted with Spell: Focus Mass Rudimentary Spellcaster's Essence and Spell: Focus Mass Primitive Spellcaster's Essence.

The live recipes for these two did change from what was in Beta. In Beta they made more logical sense, so I do not know if they will remain as is or not.

Beta: Focus Rudimentary took Crude Hide as well as Focus Mass Rudimentary and Focus Primitive took Stiff Hide while Focus Mass Primitive took Prisitine Stiff Hide.

Live: Focus Rudimentary takes Crude Hide while Focus Mass Rudimentary takes Pristine Crude and Focus Primitive takes Stiff Hide while Focus Mass Primitive takes Crude Hide.

Just a heads up to look for it.

I am getting really confused about these things.

I will try to start an outline of how these things work with reference to Lucy items. Only a few are there now so will select from that list two that go together.

Step one: Through research skill, craft Spell: Focus Intricate Spellcrafter;s Essence

Step two: Scribe this to spell book
    or
Step two: somehow scribe this to ability window

Step three: Cast spell or use ability to create Intricate Spellcaster's Empowering Essence

Now, this item is labled "This item can be used in tradeskills." so I assume there is another step in which this item is used or combined. What is step four? Is it an ability like Fishing or a cast spell like Clarify Mana or some other trade?

1a) Make the Spell: Focus * Spellcaster's Essence.
      1b) Scribe the spell.

2a) Cast the spell to summon * Essence.
      2b) Make a * treated parchment: * Summoned Essense + "a piece of parchment" + * binding solution (storebought) + * binding powder (dropped).

3a) Create Potion Scroll: * treated parchment + Ink of desired element + Quill of the Arcane.
3b) find mob, right click potion scroll and boom =)

The only elements available in making the potion scroll are Magic(Druzzil Ro), Fire(Ro), Ice(E'Ci), Poison(Saryrn), Disease(Bertoxxulous).

Match up * with the same adjectives across the board.

My info for 2a)-3a) is Beta only though. I have not hunted all the binding powder to confirm here. I have only confirmed spell recipes.

Below is my original table of info. Keep in mind only the spell recipes at the top are the only part confirmed Live.

      Potion Scroll.doc

IMO, this is only another way to skill up to 300 unless the damage has been upped a lot since Beta. The low level damage is nice but high end is pointless.

      Hope that helps Paloverde

        Damages was upped....

It seems the damage was upped since I experimented in Beta - check out the topic "New All/All click-to-cast spell scrolls". After this post I can actually put links in hehe.
