Stained Fine Runic Spell Scroll

I'm looking to make a few spells that require this component.

If anyone knows of spots to hunt for Stained Fine Runic Spell Scrolls given the changes made to global drops, I'd greatly appreciate it.

For drops for level 55 spells just go to the appropriate zones. The drops are now more global. Use to be a blackfeather roost drop iirc.

Yeah it is more global now. With the fix any caster in the game will drop stuff. There are level ranges for the drops.

I guess I should have provided more details. I had read Ngreth's post and I knew that they dropped in Blackfeather Roost (although I've never hunted there) and from the "They are coming!" quest/mission out of Goru`kar Mesa. My main isn't high enough lvl to solo/farm there yet. At least, I haven't tried to solo/farm there. I have tried a couple zones where I am able to solo casters around lvl 55. I have yet to see a stained fine runic spell scroll yet.

I did see several drop on a recent Bertox raid. The casters there are lvl 58-60 if I remember correctly.

Info from Magelo is starting to show up as well... just not fast enough for me. I guess I'm being a little impatient.

Well I am with you. I have a hard time coming up with research drops that I need for the spells I want to make. Farm other stuff, sell in bazaar and use profits to buy the very expensive bazaar research stuff there I guess...

That's exactly what I've been doing. Looking in the bazaar for bargains on the drops I can't acquire and selling the excess spells. Although I must say, selling excess spells and selling Legends of Norrath drops has been good to me. I'm about to the point where I can sink a bit of plat into the bazaar in order to do skillups. But I'd rather get as far as I can on my own and I believe I can get a little further, at least to skill 170 (currently 158).

I got the spell scrolls to drop from the dryads by the queen.
I can also confirm papyrus drops from "They are Coming" quest mobs.
