Anyone started a thread or know how to determine what the new compnents for the older spells are (ie up to level 60)?

There've been a few recipes posted as part of larger threads, as well as some DNCs, and a couple recipes have shown up in the "SoF data submission" thread. This is probably a fine thread heading for sharing various guesses and other info.
Some of the DNCs mentioned elsewhere were for the solo and group forms of DMF, and Disintegrate. I won't repeat them here other than to say the recipes that poster tried for DMF looked reasonable to me.
For my part, I'll bring up "Conjure Corpse", which just became a level 57 SK spell instead of level 65 so I'm looking to make it for my 59 alt. There are also lower level corpse summoning spells that had old-style recipes and presumably can be made now using the new style. But I'm just stuck wondering what ink to try. Ink of the Companion is for pet summoning, which feels wrong. The best I can think of is Ink of Tranquility, which is supposed to be for Mez/Lull but at least has a name that suggests a corpse! So maybe try that plus Conjuring Thickener (which is for summoning items), and perhaps a coffin or whatever the consumed component is? I'll try that the next time I can get in game, but thought I'd ask for other suggestions in the meantime.

Spell: Dead Man Floating
Spell Info: Level 41 Necromancer, single-target buff, EB, See Invis, Poison Resist, levitate.
Recipe Expected:
Cleaned Supple Runic Hide
Quill of the Arch Lich
Ink Additive of the Nameless
Ink of Prexus
Ink of the Eagle
Ink of Saryrn
Ink of Xegony
Invigorating Thickener
Spell: Dead Men Floating
Spell Info: Level 45 Necromancer, group buff, EB, See Invis, Poison Resist, levitate.
Recipe Expected:
Fine Supple Runic Hide
Quill of the Arch Lich
Ink Additive of the Nameless
Ink of Prexus
Ink of the Eagle
Ink of Saryrn
Ink of Xegony
Talisman Thickener
For both DMF spells, I tried omitting each of the inks. I tried swapping the thickeners.
Spell: Disintegrate
Spell Info: Level 60 Wizard, Nuke? - Destroys the target. Consumes an opal
Recipe Expected:
Fine Runic Papyrus
Luclin's Ink Additive
Quill of the Arcanist
Arcane Thickener
Ink of Pain
Ink of Nameless says it's for spells that effect all stats, and destroying something... well... why not? I tried that instead of Pain and in addition to pain. I'm not sure if this spell is considered resistable, since it only lands on low level critters. Just in case, I tried both Ink Additive of the Nameless and Luclin's Ink Additive. Maybe it's considered a punt? I guess transport spells are using buff thickeners, but Invigorating just seems so... wrong. I didn't try it. I did try Debilitating. Oh, and I remember reagents being used in some of the recipes, so I tried adding an opal.Last edited by Neebat; 11-14-2007, 07:48 PM.I tried combining Celestial Solvent, a Raw Rough Hide, Rough Hide Solution and a Skinning Knife. But the result was such an oxymoron, it opened a rift into another universe. I fell through into one of Nodyin's spreadsheets and was slain by a misplaced decimal.

Invigorating Thickener
1: Water Breathing(2) (xeogny)
2: See Invisible(1) (eagle)
3: Levitate(2) (xeogny)
7: Increase Poison Resist by 61 (L41) to 70 (L50) (saryn)
not sure why you would use prexus ... which is mana effects

Conjure Corpse
I've tried several variations on Conjure Corpse without success. All of them used Papyrus (level 57), Conjuring Thickener for summoning, Ink of the Nameless (no resist), and Tiny Jade Inlaid Coffin (the material component).
The quill should be Arch Lich (arcane over other archtypes), but I've tried both it and Dread Lord (and both!). The list of inks in "Systematic Spell Research Addendum: Summoning" doesn't list anything about summoning corpses, but does suggest that the existing inks have various effects when used with conjuring thickener. So far I've tried Ink of the Companion, Ink of Tranquility, and Ink of the Nameless (which the book describes as being for miscellaneous items).
Using just the Arch Lich quill I've also tried inks of Forgetfulness and Listlessness (with the conjuring thickener etc., of course). DNC.

The problem is what Ink to use. You said you checked the manuals and there is no reference to a coprse ink, so Ngreth probably used one already in place. (Although I suggested a different one)

Did you find a book that mentions EB effects? I couldn't find anything about levitate in the books, but I heard Ngreth was thinking of adding Xegony to SoE.

None of the combinations I tried for Disintegrate produced anything. (Aside from frustration.)
As for Disintigrate... just keep adding inks of pain till you get it (3)Last edited by Eanelder; 11-16-2007, 01:05 AM.

Thanks Ean, you're the best! I have a hard time linking the lucy effects to the components. If it isn't too much trouble could you give me a heads up on Talisman of the Raptor as well please (also a shammy 59)? Hate to ask you to do this, is there a comprehensive list of what lucy lines correspond to what inks/thickeners exactly?

theres a break down of each component above.
A listing of stationery type per level can be found here:
http://mboards.eqtraders.com/eq/show...99&postcount=5
T of Raptor is a lvl 59 shaman Group dex buff. From spell research point of view, its very similar to T of Rhino, the lvl 58 shaman group STR buff recipie I provided earlier. The only thing that needs to change is the Stationary (cause of the level difference 58 vs 59 ) and the Ink (cause of the effect difference STR vs DEX).

Everfount
On a similar note, I'm trying to make Everfount. Here's what I'm using and why:
- Prepared Fine Hide -- level 22 spell
- Quill of the Convoker -- Magician spell
- Ink Additive of The Nameless -- no resist
- Conjuring Thickener -- general item summoning
I have tried inks of Tunare, Nameless, E'Ci, and Companion. I just don't know what else to try! Why did you suggest Alacrity for the necro pet spell? Should I try it here? Or maybe it's Prexus, since being thristy affects your mana regen?
But before I experiment further, I'd like some reassurance that the rest of my ingredients seem right. Maybe I should throw in a Water Flask, like you'd throw in a Malachite for a pet summon?
