  • Research Machines

    Hi,

I've looked for a list of crafting machines and their whereabouts to no avail. Hence my question: is there some kind of static spell research machine, like an altar or something, the equivalent of a Loom for tailors?

I've returned to the game a few days ago, and found the new interface for crafting in looms, forges, etc., very useful. Much less clicking than with the old interface. Is there anything like it for Spell Research?

    Thanks.

The books used for research along with the new research kit that went in with DoDH all use the new tradeskills interface. Unfortunately, you will still need to "experiment" with the recipe using the old interface until you learn the recipe.

Once you have learnt the recipe then you will be able to search for it or add it to your list of favourites.

No, there is no static research container.

There are no fixed research containers. (I had looked previously in the library in the Plane of knowledge for something like that, but as far as I know nothing exists).

You might have to Ctrl + Right-mouse-click to open up the research container in the mode you desire (although I think you must be a class that can do research combines to get the new screen you desire).

Also, the different research containers have their own "memory" for spells (the same as cultural forges vs other forges) so you have to set up the recipes for each one.
