Sorry for not explaining my situation well. When I wrote the first message it was late and I was frustrated.
I am only a 200 researcher, but my logs are gone. Computer picked up a virus and I could not completely get ride of it and computer would freeze up quickly so i re-installed windows. By re-installing wiondows I lost all my logs; Bazaar logs, tradeskill logs, setting logs, etc. Bazaar, setting and some tradeskills are easy to re-do, but reseach has so many components it would be a pain, espeicaly since im still in LDoN reseach and a little into DoD. What I was hoping for was a place I could get a new log with reseach info on it rather then having to look up spells again. I guess kinda lazy on my part. Sorry again for not explaining my self. Its not that i am missing "favorites" its that i have no more recipes because logs are no longer there.

I'm fairly sure known recipes are stored server-side, not locally. You may simply have to search for them again in the tradeskill window...Originally posted by moomookev View PostSorry for not explaining my situation well. When I wrote the first message it was late and I was frustrated.

Doremi is right, any learned recipes are stored server side to prevent abuse of someone editing the local file and adding previously unknown recipe and making it known instantly.
If you want your favorite recipes that are "added" to tradeskill UI, you will have to search through your tradeskill UI and add each one manually. It sounds like when you did a system restore, it wiped the hard drive. For future reference, you can make backup copies of all *.ini files in EQ folder and the entire log folder (inside EQ folder) and copy them back when you wipe the drive and reinstall programs.
By default, EQ are found at C:\Program Files\Sony\EQ\ and the logs at C:\Program Files\Sony\EQ\logs
If you need some help, post here and someone (or I) can do the more detailed walkthrough on backing up.Grolyn Blacknife

And if you had older EQ CD set (like Evolution, Gold, etc), default is C:\Program Files\EQ\Grolyn Blacknife

If they keep changing the install path, then in about 20 years from now it would be C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Games\MMORPG\Legacy\Sony\Verant\EQ
and EQ will be broken once again because some longer file names combined with long directory would have exceeded the max of 255 (I think) characters.Grolyn Blacknife

I guess I should be happy I installed EQ to a folder of my choosing, rather than the default. Mine is in C:\Games\EverQuest.
Sir KyrosKrane Sylvanblade
Master Artisan (300 + GM Trophy in all) of Luclin (Veeshan)
Master Fisherman (200) and possibly Drunk (2xx + 20%), not sober enough to tell!
Lightbringer, Redeemer, and Valiant servant of Erollisi Marr

Pfft mine's E:\EQ
Simple enough. Too bad the dumb Launchpad doesn't like that place and tries to download the entire EQ off the sever onto C:\Program Files\Sony\EQ, completely ignoring the fact my C: drive is only 5MB. I bugged them when launchpad went live late last fall, and launchpad is still broken as of 1 week ago.Grolyn Blacknife

Hahaha, that is exactly where mine is installed. Drives my bf nuts every time he tries to do something with our EQ files and my locations don't match his.Originally posted by KyrosKrane View PostI guess I should be happy I installed EQ to a folder of my choosing, rather than the default.
