  • Still Inconsistencies in Lifetap Spells?

In the latest patch, some changes were made to many spells to make the Research recipes consistent with similar spells of a different level, or perhaps different class. One of these was the 70 SK spell Touch of the Devourer. The old recipe was unreported, but I have just discovered and reported the revised recipe under the TSS Forum for inclusion in the Database. The new recipe is consistent with the level 65 SK lifetap spell Touch of Innoruuk and the level 61 Necro lifetap spell Touch of Mujaki. All three of these spells are comprised of:

    Appropriate class quill
    Appropriate parchment for level
Luclin's ink additive (for Magic Resist)
Consuming thickener (for transfer between beings)
    Ink of pain (instant dd)
    Ink of tunare (HP gain)

Seems quite reasonable for the spell descriptions...

However, when I check the rest of the SK lifetap line, I notice that the 62 SK spell Touch of Volatis still uses Arcane Thickener instead of Consuming Thickener. I believe this should also be changed to stay consistent. Also, I find that the recipe for the 67 SK lifetap spell Touch of Inruku is not yet solved and reported. When I attempted to make it using the most obvious choices, I get only DNC:

    Quill of the dread lord
    Vellum
    Luclin's ink additive
    Consuming thickener (or Arcane thickener)
    Ink of pain
    Ink of tunare

Seems to me that there is definitely still a problem with this one, since it should be the same basic recipe as its lvl 65 and 70 cousins.

Hmm, looks like you're right about what it should be. I don't think the in-game recipe takes all the effects into account.
Lister. Not that one, the other one.

      Lifetaps

Dont forget that some lifetaps are magic based, and some lifetaps are disease based. I think Touch of Inriku is Disease, the necro touch lifetap is disease based, so try to change out the luclin with bertox or something and it might combine.

You want that disease resist check in there.

/edit just checked alla's - it is magic based, but try with the disease check anyway. it might work ;P
